“The deciding moment of the match was in the middle of the first half when Candlejack had a chance to score with 1 gfi (reroll available) but decided to stall for a turn. That turned out to be costly as his screen wasn't quite good enough and I managed to blitz his ball carrier. After that it was a race against time as my orcs picked up the ball inside their own end zone and carried it all the way to norses' end zone as the first half expired. Even the fireball from the norse's wizard wasn't enough to stop The Grave as he ran like his life depended on it.
The second half should have been easy - just keep possession of the ball and play it safe. Suffice to say, I managed to make a needless gfi with The Grave who promptly fell down after snake eyes and lost the ball. The norse made a daring play and managed to secure the ball, only to blitzed down again. That was pretty much the second half summarized - the norse make nice plays to get the ball, but get blitzed down on the orcs' turn. The second half ended scoreless at the end, and Buffy Episodes goes through to face wood elves in their next match.”
