The As Sexy As Amazons started in offence, starting with a cage, then spreading out in a tight tussle for the ball.
The Amazons killed one QLD'finest player with an early block (apothecaried) but then had their Catcher badly hurt with a foul. This enraged the Amazons who shoved s tate out of bounds where he was killed by Gillespie fans who were annoyed that tate had gotten his place in the 4th and 5th Ashes Test matches.
QLD'finest Dragon Warrior A Symonds, then made a 3+ and 4+ dodge to do a two dice I choose block on my ball carrier. The result? Double pows! What a nice set of rolls heh. My opponent did another 2 dice I choose block in the second half which also came up double pows heh.
Anyways, the Amazons pushed A Symonds out of bounds too for this impertenence!
Eventually, the Amazons passed and ran the ball up the left sideline and scored the opening TD to take a 1-0 lead. QLD'finest with 2 turns and no rerolls left were unable to set up a score after using their Lion Warrior without Block to blitz and the dice came up Skull/Pow + Skull. If the Dragon Warrior had been used instead, who knows what might have happened after....
Anyways, the second half started with the Amazons getting a very lucky Blitz. They pushed through but failed to catch the ball! A tough fight for the ball followed. QLD'finest recovered it, only to lose it again. Amazon Kari Wuhrer made a critical 4+ pick up and 4+ pass (avoiding a 6+ intercept) to bring the ball to linewoman Kelly Brook who was behind a wall of Blitzers. Quite a bit of luck in that passage of play including two one dice pows to set it all up.
By this stage, the Amazons already had three players knocked out, but they replied strongly by injuring two QLD'finest and they ran in the score to take a 2-0 lead.
With 1 out of 3 KO'd Amazons waking up, QLD'finest had a 10-9 player advantage on the next kickoff.
The High Elves mobbed up big on the line of scrimmage and the Amazons attacked, and knocked the ball free. A possible score was deined when I failed a 3+ dodge with RR to get to the ball and pass it.
QLD'finest scooped up the ball in one tackle zone and tossed a short pass over a couple of Amazons to set up a TD (2+ 3+ 3+ 2+ not too hard) to make it 2-1.

A very tactical game. My opponent had some great luck in the first half (dodging in and then getting double pows on two dice I choose) but with a player advantage, I was able to get the ball and score.
Second half it was my turn to have some luck with the Blitz, and then also somehow stealing the ball (though he was fortunate to make a 4+ dodge and 4+ pickup without rerolls first). Overall, I had the greater luck though as without the blitz, he would not have had to do the 4+ 4+ move nor would I have had the chance to steal the ball on turn 1 second half.
Still it was a fun game though the tactical foul against my Catcher was annoying as I wanted the 2+ catch with RR to do some SPP farming!
