Turns out Groff is quite the big game player. As in when he plays well, he has a serious impact. After 14 games, he's earned SPP in 3 (excluding 1 MVP game), 3 Cas in the first, and a TD and a Cas in the other two. Big things are expected of this big guy.
It's not often you depend on big guys to make big plays, but Groff has done just that when the team has been in need of him. He's the only big guy I've ever not feared making those 2D blocks with.
March 19, 2007:
Reached Super-Star status as a long standing team leader. No longer the streaky impact player he once was, Groff now has become a pillar of consistency on the team. He filled out the normal skill choices and lost a little agility, but hopefully Groff still has alot of fight left in him.
October 16, 2007:
With a 2 casualty performance against a chaos team of questionable constitution, Groff leaps onto the top 10 active human players in casualties at number 8.
December 2, 2007:
His 2 casualties weren't even the most impressive part of his brilliant plays in an improbable 2-1 win against some dirty vampires. However, they were enough to put Groff into a tie for best active human blocker with the questionable James Zane.
December 3, 2007:
Scores a single casualty to become the lone holder of top human blocker in a pathetic loss. Oh well, the team killed a dark elf lineman with two doubles which is nice.
December 6, 2007:
Scores a casualty, bringing his career total to 67, 3rd all time top blocker for humans, best ogre blocker ever (not counting grandfathered ogres), but the dicerape was too much. A gangfoul left Groff dead, a true champions death on the pitch. He will join Lenny "Doubletake" Anders in the Circus Maximus hall of fame.
