<DIV ALIGN="left">Grover is maybe the most educational of all Sesame Street characters. Nevertheless one of the most popular ones. The main reason for that is the fact that Grover never can do something right. Children learn from his failures. He learns children the meaning of certain words, or how to interact with grown-ups. His motto is ‘always try to help others.’ He is always full of energy and curiosity, but gets tired very soon. He is also very famous for his ‘jobs.’ The most famous is his role as Super Grover. Dressed with an iron helmet, a red cape and a blue shirt with the letter ‘G’ on. When a kid is in trouble (is to weak to lift three boxes at once for instance), Super Grover comes to help (“Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s…Super Grover). Super Grover always chrashes in stead of having a neat landing. When Super Grover finally has solved the problem, it’s always too late; the kid has solved it already. But Super Grover takes the credit and leaves, crashing into a tree or a house. His second role is the role as waiter in a restaurant. Fat Blue is the customer and orders things, but Grover never does it right, brings an extremely small or an extremely large sandwich. It usually takes 3 or 4 times (Grover takes it back to Charlie, the cook) before Fat Blue gets the meal he wants, if he does get it, wich seldom happens. His third role is the role as salesman, 'Grover Kent, ace doorknob salesman for Acme, Inc.' He usually sells stuff to the unfortunate Kermit (a toothbrush for instance, while Kermit doesn’t even has teeth) who first slams the door, leaving Grover with his nose between the doorpost.</DIV>
