Designed and built to solve complex problems about the universe; i.e. Why? Why Because? 2+2=? Hex is mans testament to admitting his limitations and then incorporating them all to be immortalized in glass tubing. Originally capable only of sums and algebra, Hex has gradually computed itself a mind, and isn't really sure what to do with it. So it answers the wizards' questions and tries to understand the universe, with ants as brain cells and large amounts of glass for neural channels, as well as something like a beach ball, the Great Big Lever, a tank of fish, and the Fluffy Teddy Bear.
