Scatterbrook Tardigrades
Roster [L] Halfling

Scatterbrook is an old and prosperous town in the north of the Southern Wastes. It was founded by a crew of halfling merchants that came in search of new taste sensations to take back to the insatiable kitchens of The Moot.

Shipwrecked in the caldera of an ancient Volcano, the crew were cut off from all civilisation, both in the old world and the rest of the Southern Wastes. However, the caldera proved to be a fertile land fed by the rich silt distributed by the eponymous Scatterbrook and it's tributaries. The caldera also provided a natural defence to the roving chaos warbands that plague many other parts of the wastes.

With natural defences and bountiful soil the halflings thrived. Soon they had resumed their old ways and started playing Blood Bowl and curing their own new and exotic meats.

In the final of the first season of the Scatterbrook Cup the star catcher Wiltran Underpot scored the winning touchdown after being woken up by the stench of some mouldy teewurst by the team's apothecary. It turns out the teewurst was not mouldy at all it was infested by a unique strain of Tardigrade endemic to the Scatterbrook. Wiltran swore that he became imbued with the superlative resilience and strength of the diminuitive but hardy tardigrades.

Following this all Blood Bowl players of Scatterbrook started to eat this unique sausage: the Tardigrade Teewurst. The local competition went from strength to strength with this new performance enhancing knob ... at least that's what they think ... given the lack of outside competition it's hard to say really.

After being popularised by the players, the fans soon also began to consume the pungent sausage. It became so wildly popular that soon a pair of enterprising young halflings the Wissowski siblings decided to build a vessel to try and export it to other parts of the world. While most peoples found the Tardigrade Teewurst a little ... strong for their liking, the other halflings of the wastes went wild for it. In fact it became so popular that unreliable trade routes for the raw treat made their way even to the Moot.

With the wealth that showered down on the Wissowski siblings they decided to fund a team to enter the SWL 'The Scatterbrook Tardigrades'. This will be the ultimate test of the efficacy of Tardigrade Teewurst.
