TEAM BIO The Grünberg Gryphons have been the pre-eminent name in the Übersreik junior Blood Bowl leagues for decades and have only recently added an adult team to the club. Due to the eye-watering cost of coaching, the team is reserved for the little lords and ladies of noble families and those who serve the court of wealthy families, such as the von Jungfreuds, von Walfens, or Aschaffenbergs. Their riches enabled them to hire one of the most notorious Blood Bowl coaches in all of the Old World; the relentless and unforgiving Tilean, Domenico Rechthaber, whose trophy cabinet is unrivalled. TROPHY ROOM Until most recently, the Gryphons stance on prizes was that it was unseemly for gentlemen and gentlewomen to pursue the gaudy baubles offered for "mercenary" teams. However, in a recent volte face, the club committee has permitted the club to enter its teams into tournaments. Whilst they are prepared to accept plaudits and trophies, cash prizes are still a taboo subject. The typical fare sold at Blood Bowl games is frowned upon by the upper echelons of society who attend Gryphons matches at the Reiksguard Castle Ground. In fact, anything fried or boiled is relabelled as being sauteed or simmered. The beer is also changed from the usual Bloodweiser and Bugman's XXXXX which is served at other matches to Blütwasser Export and Dwarven Reserve IPA and served in hand-blown glasses.
