After centuries of treatment as second class by those who worshipped the oppressive god Diz-Knee, this band of warriors loyal to the great god Warner took matters into their own hands. They knew that the Diz-Knee followers were not strong of body or aggressive of spirit, and soon formed a sporting team they called the Looney Tuners. Led by high priest Chuck Jones, the Looney Tuners (named for their antics on and off the field of play) looked for every opportunity to show their superiority over the Diz-Knees. The Tuners bested them in throwing sports and running sports, and dominated them in physical challenges like wrestling. When a travelling priest (high priest Hanna Barbera) came to a match, he believed these Tuners would be ideal for the sport of Blood Bowl, which he had seen in other lands on other journeys. The Tuners came to love the sport, and realize that the spirit of the competition is most important, since the outcome is predetermined by the wise and benevolent god Warner. They are content to make mayhem and enjoy themselves, and hope others enjoy them in the process. Although they are physical, they have been taught that the gods will be unkind to those who are dirty without provocation. Come, and experience the endless celebration that is Tuners Sports. |
