Southvale Strykers
P [R] Human

GAME ONE: The Strykers opened up against a wood elf team, Uilidor's Roots, thoroughly expecting to get blown out. Fielding ten Linemen, a thrower, six rerolls and only a 92 Team Strength, the Southvale Strykers are starting off highly experimental. Southvale kicked off and a lucky bounce put the ball at the very back of the pitch. Despite knocking out three Strykers and suffering no injuries themselves, the Roots were unable to drive the length of the field. With only one reroll that was used early the wood elf drive stalled and the half ended at 0-0. The Strykers received the ball in the second half and were able to put together a patient, 7 turn drive to take the lead 1-0 with only 2 turns left for the opponent! Two turns being plenty to score with wood elves, Southvale went into a prevent defense. The Roots still managed to get a receiver into the endzone and with the last seconds ticking off the clock, a long pass to tie the game was intercepted by Oran Breadbasket for a suprising opening victory by the Strykers!

GAME TWO: Another suprising and bittersweet victory over the chaos team Evil Side of Saturn, with the Strykers defense hanging tough for a 2-0 shutout lead by defensive star Oran Breadbasket - until his untimely death in the second half! The Stryker defense was able to cause a turnover shortly after the opening kickoff, and rookie thrower Rex Wifflespoon was able to scoop up the ball and run it in for the first score of the game. After a deep second kickoff, emerging defensive star Oran Breadbasket charged the lone beastman attempting to field the ball, knocking him out and recovering the ball in the endzone for a second TD - personally sealing a Southvale win for the second week in a row! Things slowed down in the second half with neither team able to make much progress. All energy was drained from the Southvale players when an unfortunate block on Breadbasket by the dreaded chaos warrior, Hannibal Lecter, ended his promising career the hard way. After the game, Oran Breadbasket was given a well deserved and posthumous MVP. The Stryker defense has yet to be scored on, but how will the react to the loss of Breadbasket?

In order to shore up the defense, the Southvale Strykers have signed a rookie Ogre who they are somewhat certain calls himself "Trog". The Strykers are hoping that Trog will more than fill the hole left by Breadbasket.

GAME THREE: The third victory for the Southvale Strykers, the defense was obviously shaken up from the loss of Breadbasket and let the Verdes Praderas wood elves score an early touchdown - the first score they have allowed - by their very agile up and coming star Wardancer, Struenx. Down 1-0, the Strykers put together a drive that ended with a short TD pass to lineman Trac Zybold and Southvale ended the half tied 1-1. The Strykers received the ball in the second half and marched slowly down the field, knocking out quite a few wood elves along the way. Despite a few missed passes by the Strykers along the drive, there was little Verdes Praderas could do to stop the humans as they were outnumbered 2-1 by the middle of the second half. Trac Zybold scored his second TD of the game when he ran the ball into the endzone on Turn 8. The rookie Ogre Trog played in his first game, and although he was unable to cause any casualties, he somehow managed an interception that slowed down the Verdes Praderas offense and helped the Strykers control the field. On the last play of the game, the tough (for a wood elf) MVP of Verdes Praderas' first game - Marcio - put a block on Weeze Tryston that sent him off the field in a stretcher! The Southvale Apothecary pronounced him dead-on-arrival, but was luckily able to revive him with a "secret" ammonia-smelling potion he had "just prepared" after his third Bloodweiser...

After game four with penty of cash burning a hole in the Owner's wallet, the Southvale Strykers have decided to pick up a pair of skill position players: a healthy young Blitzer by the name of Cam Bragbean... and Zoob Spiffernod, a catcher who showed promising speed in rookie training camp once he was lit on fire - literally - by one of the assistant coaches.
