Reikland State University Scorpions The Sting Background Some would argue that the "other" university based in Altdorf, the Reikland State University Scorpions, are the most successful as the Griffons, and they would be correct. RSU prides itself on not having to resort to bribery and corrupt officiating and boast a strong history of championship winning teams. The Scorpions represent the largest university in the Empire and are the major rival of the Griffons, usually with the bowl game being decided between the two. The RSU Scorpions have a proud history as the people's champions and have a huge fan base to draw upon. Cheerleading and support staff positions are often filled a full season in advance as the chance to be a part of the one of the greatest college bowl traditions proves to be a great draw card year on year. This has proved to be a heavy financial burden for the early parts of the season in years gone past, as RSU needs the cash flow from their considerable fan base for ongoing expenses. Coach Semitence has been recruited in the hopes that he can continue the excellent record of the Scorpions, even while the league undertakes the current expansion.
