Many are tempted by the insipid whispers of Chaos. Promises of power, greed, lust or whatever one could desire, the whispers that lead many a soul to ruin are tempting indeed.

So the Chaos gods are never in short supply of fresh meat to add to their ranks. Whether it be corrupted men, Skaven, Dark Elves or any that hear Chaos' call, many are sent through the Wrathgate which leads to the mortal realm as a first wave before the real horrors follow suit.

Those that manage to survive become part of the Battleforged, and though there are usually not many that do earn the rather trivial title, it is still preferable to a horrific death some would say.

Now the Battleforged have been given a new task, to spill blood in the name of the Chaos Gods (Khorne in particular) favorite sport. The game of Blood Bowl shall be their claim to fame and the hopes that the Chaos Gods will look on their team favorably...whether or not that means the team will implode horribly in on itself as their fallen brethren before them would indicate.
