Hailing from the West Coast of Naggaroth, the original team grew tired of guarding the underway and fending off the vicious local wildlife and decided to leave the bleak permanent winter behind for the Old World, where their talents at wrestling savage beasts and the lucrative pickings to be made from running around in the daylight punching things led inevitably to the Blood Bowl arenas. Delighting in the violent spectacle, the team loves nothing more than to have their agile strikes set against the background of an unruly mob equally set on tearing each other limb from limb. Crowd violence is never far from the Amethyst tour schedule, a factor they have an uncompromising stance on - the commitment being a clause in the purchase of a season ticket. Team kicker Zhaith Druenar retires to Defensive Coordinator after feeling the effects of ageing early. Game 22 - Retired Blitzer Kynar II is last seen heading into the dawn mists to track down members of the Apothecary Guild for an extensive lecture circuit on the importance of actually doing something. Several metres of barbed wire are found missing from the training compound walls, though the team denies any link between the two. Game 43 - After a heroic series of games leading the Raiders through a terrible slump seeing the team down to 9 for several starts, Ynrax "Bolt Thrower" Rayn is clearly feeling the toll of numerous tackles and fouls, but just when it looks like retirement is inevitable, the team's number 14 appears back at the training ground fresh as the day he joined up. Rumours circulate about dark rituals and cauldrons of blood but the fans are delighted to see their favourite carry on. Game 52 - Following discussion with the team accountants, the coaching staff take on an unofficial capacity for tax purposes. The league's team investigating the incident mysteriously vanish before getting back to their headquarters.
