The Soaring Sauruses arrived on a boat from the Old World fired up and ready to play some Blood Bowl. Unfortunately, Lizard society is open and friendly, Lizards being largely incapable of deception or crime; the team's ceremonial (gold-plated) playing armour was stolen before the first day on shore was ended. Gullible honesty also failed to help when purchasing new armour with their remaining money, and the 'authentic replica premium armour' they bought from some guy they met in a pub turned out to be inadequate to the demands of the sport. Despite the Lizards' native toughness, many injuries and the occasional death were suffered during their first season. The Sauruses seem to be coming into their own, having figured out that you are allowed to hurt people, a concept that had more of less entirely eluded them for their first season. With several key players having built up a remarkable resentment of the other teams and some decent combat experience things are looking good for the next season. |
