Team history
When the College of Elemental Magic at Brimstone Hall was informed that its highly successful and just as destructive all-wizard Blood Bowl team was in fact illegal and would not be allowed to join the Southern Wastes League, something had to be done. All the wizards were sacked from the team and replaced with players who were technically members of the college, but had no magical talents whatsoever. The result was an unprecedented losing streak and a casualty list the length of the Arcane Codex of Igg. To give their team at least a fighting chance, the wizards came up with a cunning plan: They would award special "Blood Bowl scholarships" to promising players who would never have been admitted into the college otherwise.

When the SWL was temporarily disbanded after season XXXIX, the Fire Lords took an extended break from professional Blood Bowl. Nowadays, they mostly play in exhibition matches and compete in local leagues.
