The history of Iltmar's Royal Decree starts with Ilmtar Goldheart, a distant relative to the ruling royalty of Ulthuan. All his life he stood in the shadow of the prince. Being just a terrible warrior as he conducted his demeanor in social circles, he recently set his eyes on the popular sport blood bowl as means to find glory and honour. No players of high class would play under his captainship as he was known to be "a man of big purse and small heart", which indeed was true.
With his great wealth he hired the most promising young talent outside the noble class, claimed for himself the captianship as number 1 on the team as well as the coaching role, leaving the actual coach as nothing but a figurine of formalities. With confidence springing from his mental realm of grandour Iltmar leads his band to the bloody pitches with hopes of a brighter future (for himself).
