Tor Elyr Griffons
Retired [X2] High Elf

Hailing from the Ellyrion capital of Tor Elyr on the Inner Coast, the Griffons were once the worst Elf team in the Realm. The steady progression of the offense has turned them into a scoring machine, maintaining a strict diet of passing. Defense is secondary to the Griffons, who are famous for powerful throwers and insanely gifted catchers. Sadly, those gifted Catchers have since departed...Tiberius voluntarily, Timeon involuntarily.

The future of the team took a big hit when a dirty Human puke ended the life of Baron Timeon, one of the greatest Catchers ever. Timeon WAS the team, and it'll be a test to see if the Griffons can recover from the loss of such an icon. The Niggle Collection was coming along nicely, though...until they all died.

As with most Elf teams, the egos are hard to control and there are only so many balls to go around. So by coach's decree only Blitzers and Catchers are allowed to score TDs. Yeaman Perreault broke that rule and was flogged, slapped in the throat, then kicked repeatedly in the face until unconcious. He won't do that again anytime soon.....

OK, so he did it again the next game. But considering the rash of deaths/retirings lately, the staff has relaxed that rule....as there's usually not enough guys left to score at all, so we'll take what we can get. From 4 seriously good catchers to one in just a few games. So it's off to DivX for the Griffons.

Team management felt that after sustaining so many grievous injuries in such a short time it would be better to disband the team.
