HEAD COACH: Hanabal Hilson

The Straw Dogs started their BloodBowl career out of the ashes of head coach and owner, Hanabal Hilson's collapsed fast food stall empire.

During the last days of the NAF, before Bloodbowl became a "Open league" the Hilson empire was one of three syndicates which bought out the Oberwald pie fanchise - which at that time funded the Reikland Reavers.
This made Hilson very weathy but it also made him a lot of enemies.

After several bad business ventures Hilson's former partners manged to bankrupt him and liquidate his company forcing him onto the streets of Altdorf, were he lived amoung the many homeless scratching out a living.

Years later a chance encounter with one of his former business partners saw him engaged in a wager, as a matter of honor.
With merely a thousand Karls, he was to present a Bloodbowl team to take part in the upcoming play-offs and quilify.

With no sports experience and no substantial financial backing, Hilson trawled the homeless the destitute or Altdorf, the prisons and lunatic asylum's and Gypsy camps to find his players. Men so desperate and ruthless that the meager wage he could offer would entice them onto the grid-iron.

Originally to be registered as "Hilton's Hounds" the offical stated he'd never seen such a poor display of humanity, even amoung BloodBowl players and they looked like they would have all the bite of a Straw Dog. The name stuck.

A firm favourite with the crowd, or "DOG PACK" as they are known. Many consider them one of their own, made up of the same dregs and forgotten as make up the mulitude of the Empire.
