Also known as : The Phantom Brigade (Direct Translation) 13 Spiders (Due to the uniquely numbered spider tattoos they have on their body- 13 members form the group) Criminal Activities As most Hunter fans would know, the people that collectively form the Genei Ryodan are the most notorious criminals in the Hunter universe. Suffice to say, the number of crimes committed under their name are too numerous to be listed in this limited space, and still they are at large, scot-free to engage in any criminal activity. However, in-between the many high-profile murders and robberies, they sometimes(rarely, actually) do the occasional good deed. One thing to note is that roughly 5 years ago, the Ryodan were responsible for eliminating the Kuruta tribe- killing all its people (save Kurapica) and removing the eyes of the dead (as they remain red, and are prized as unique artifacts). Origins It is said that key members of the Brigade had originated from Meteor Street, a decayed and long-forgotten place where the inhabitants survive on the waste matter dumped by people from other civilisations.
