The colors of Ostermark Vikings are Purple and Yellow for home matches or Purple and White for away matches.

<u>A brief history of Ostermark</u>

It borders Sylvania (part of the province of Stirland) to the south, Ostland to the west, the land of Kislev to the north and the World's Edge Mountains to the east. The capital of Ostermark is Bechafen which lies in the northern part. The ruined former capital Mordheim is in Southern Ostermark. It was destroyed by a warpstone comet, but a crusade of Empire Knights was led that razed it to the ground.

Ostermark is a mostly rural state, since, unlike its neighbors, its soil is fertile and ideal for agriculture. The low-tech level of the major industries of Ostermark often leads to its people being mocked in other states as simpletons. This is an unfair reputation however, as the people of the Mark are as stout and capable of those of any other province - if not more so, for Ostermark regularly sends troops to assist Kislev in its battles against northern barbarians. As a result its forces are perhaps more hardened to war against the Chaos barbarians than any others in the Empire.

<u>The Foundation of Ostermark Vikings</u>

In the Year 2514 after Wolfram Hertwig assumed control of Ostermark his first order of business was to bring much need gold into the region and he believed the best way of doing this was to found the regions first professorial Blood Bowl Team.

After a slow start in the lower ranked tournaments and after a couple near misses in several semi finals and finals. The Vikings finally produced there finest play in Bloodwiser minor league cup which the winner would get a invite into the Dungeonbowl. After a easy first round game vs Mighty Midgets(halfling team) in which the team scored a record 6 TD's and killed 7 members of the Mighty Midgets.

In the second round the Ostermark Vikings had a tougher game vs High-Seas Surfriders (high elf team). In this tight affair with the score tied at 2-2 and the Ostermark losing there starting thrower and with 2 minutes on the clock the then coach Fritz Uberjaeger decides to put in then rookie thrower and future star player Toumas Ausstadt. As soon the rookie stepped on the field the captain and all time leading scorer Hans Zweiblitzen pitches him the ball and the rookie lobs it into the end zone to a open Udo Starkgetrunkt who pulls in the ball and scores the winning TD and they progress to the semi finals by a score 3-2.

In the semi final the vikings found themselves vs a Khemri team called Royal Bones
