Dartinn Runn was walking alone in the forest, soaking up the sights and sounds of nature, and all was at peace with the world.

THUD!

Dartinn picked himself up and looked round. Apparently an inflated.... thing... had struck him on the back of the head and disturbed his peace. he picked the 'thing' up and emerged into a clearing where a group of his brethren were stood about looking sheepish.

"Sorry Dartinn. We wondered what would happen if a long bomb didn't come off." said one of the elves.

"Long bomb? What are you chaps talking about?" replied Dartinn, annoyed but elvishly polite as usual.

Well it turned out that a couple of the fellows had seen something called a Bloodbowl match when last in Altdorf for supplies, and they thought they'd try it out.

"Well, you're not having your 'thing' back." Said Dartinn. A couple of the elves showed creased brows - a sign of rage, and they lunged for Dartinn. Dartinn nimbly danced aside and sprinted across to the other side of the clearing. "Now look you fellows, you are NOT having this thing back and .."

Clap, clap, clap.

The sound of slow clapping came from behind Dartinn. The head warrior of the Altdorf 4 leaf clover Ranger sub division, Pransun Dansun, emerged from behind a tree.

"Congratulations. You just scored a touchdown." he said, with the barest hint of a smile (for everyone knows that elves do NOT smile).

Dartinn looked down at the 'thing' in his hands. Then looked up at Pransun. Then gulped.

The next day 11 elves walked into Altdorf, registered their intentions to play as a team, and wondered what the hell they were letting themselves in for...
