Hornswaggle was brought into the team to replace the immensly popular captain Rot O'Hoy. The old cheat was previously mainly interested in tricking plunder from his shipmates with his crooked deck o' cards, but the team needed a new profile and Hornswaggle answered the call!

Master Scurvey is second in command of the Cheerful Deads, and the least cheerful on the crew. His job is to whip the others into shape and make them do their work.

Feisty Fred is taking the cursed position as 2nd blitzer on the team, a position previously doomed to failure and violent death. The feisty undead pirate has vowed to break the curse though and has promised his teammates a swig o' rum for every match where he fails to score points.

Fred has started well, and although the Cheerful Deads lost the match Feisty Fred scored the only casualty when he bashed up a warewolf. In the following match he beat a human blitzer half to death and his teammates could be heard moaning about how thirsty they were. In the third match he failed to inflict a casualty and the rest of the crew could finally get their grogs. He was now an accepted and appreciated member of the Cheerful Deads!

Buck Aneer is a true pirate, and being dead has done nothing to change his cheerful and carefree pirate mood. Buck is standing out as the teams most able player so far, lethal in both intecepting opponent ball carriers, general bashing and scoring on his own behalf.

Rodney keeps the Cheerful Dead's pirate ship free of vermin. He loves those juicy , plump rats! Rodney looks like a proper pirate with his black eye patch with an embroided white skull over the eye socket. Experienced from his rat hunts he has adapted the way of the rat into his playing style, making him very hard to stop or keep down. Wise from experience Rodney is also adept at handling the ball and is considered the best scorer in the crew at the moment.

Smudge wished he could be undead as well. But since he is alive he is not undead...he is unundead.

Being alive he can feel the pain of being knocked around, and the worst memory yet is when he got bitten in the balls by a warewolf in the match against Zombies.

Rob is in charge of recruiting new buccaneers to the Cheerful Dead crew. Having died twice he knows which tactic is the most efficient for recruitment, but it seems that Rob is something as unusual as a dirty player with a conscience. He rarely manages to inflict casualties and sometimes he feels so bad over the injuries he has inflicted that he doesn't even show up on match days...

Rob was a big scapegoat in the third round of the FUMBBL Minors, where he didn't show up and the team lost the match. Many has grumbled that the Cheerful Deads are in a bad need of a new dirty player, since Rob is far too sensitive to apply the boot in a correct manner.

Hagen used to be a lineman for the Nordisch Beople, but Feisty Fred recruited him with a brutal punch in the face. The undead viking pirate now serves as one of the Cheerful Deads and can maintain the same drinking habits that he used to have when he was still alive.

Bekhbob keeps the deck of the Cheerful Dead ship reasonably clean, but it is a tough job when half the crew are dropping limbs and pieces of flesh wherever they go.

Corky loves his life as a pirate for the Cheerful Deads, and since he can't swim he is thankful that his bloated body will prevent him from ever drowning. Being generally talentless Corky spends a lot of time on the bench, which explains why he only developed marginally after 15 matches...

Greg's favourite part of the pirate life is the rum. He actually drank himself to death, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying his beloved grogs in the afterlife! Being a severe alcoholist doesn't stop him from playing ball though and Greg is a valued member of the crew!

People who see Curt can be quite shocked by his appearance. The cheerful undead pirate has a rusty, iron cannonball lodged into his chest and his skull is bashed so badly that it bulges inwards. That hasn't dampened his mood though, and the hard hitting zombie pirate is a valued member of the crew!

Lately Curt has shouldered the roll of kicker, using his expertize to plant the ball strategically on the pitch. There are some concerns that he will one day kick his decomposing leg off, but Curt has assured the coach that he is willing to take the risk.

Herbert Spencer, human lineman - Huminators II

After having been badly dice raped for two matches in a row the Cheerful Deads let their superstitions go wild and sacked a zombie to make room for a player with renowned luck. Yar the Lucky was brought into the team, completly without any credentials of luck or skill, but with a name like that what can go wrong, huh? Some of the pirates were a bit nervous when the only free player number was 13 though and after 6 matches without doing anything right Yar seemed to be a dud.

Yar proved the skeptics wrong though and was the team's best player in the FUMBBL Minors, where he scored in all three matches the Cheerful Deads played.

Celaeno used to be a linesman for Kourans Blade, a team of infamous dark elf criminals. He was known for his extremly nasty playing style, involving many kicks and the occasional stab on downed opponents. Captain Rot O'Hoy noticed that he could be a useful recruit and personally made sure to complete the transfer, by snapping his neck and allowing him to be raised as a zombie pirate.

Herbert Spencer used to be a lineman for the Huminators II, but was killed by the zombie Cannonball Curt and raised to play against his former teammates. Now Herbert is enjoying his new life as an undead pirate to the fullest!

Larsa used to play for the FC Bulls, but was killed in the first round of the Royal Rookie Rumble XLX. The former hobgoblin was raised as a zombie and was the only BC Bulls player that continued to round 2.

Despite his brain rotting away Larsa is a better player nowdays than he was back when he was alive.
