Helen had a harsh youth and learnt early, to survive means to hit hard. Surviving duty as a vamire's thrall furthermore requires two things in her opinion:

1. Avoiding vampires
2. Making yourself valueable

Since both is possible on the pitch, she was drawn to BloodBowl as soon as the House of Alabite decided to take part in the game - and works on both without regard for her own health, hoping to become a star and stop being a pint of stored blood.
