Also known as Ghenghiz Cohen, Cohen the Barbarian
is the last and greatest of the barbarian heroes.
He is over 90 years old, which just shows how good
he is at not dying. Known to be leader of the Silver
Horde, a small group of similarly elderly barbarian
heroes, many of whom have served with Cohen for
numerous years. Like Cohen himself, the Silver Horde
is very good at not dying in a line of work where
insane risks and life-and-death gambles are relatively
routine

(note we say 'and' instead of 'or' - this is intentional,
as *someone* tends to die in the instances.)

Ronald Saveloy attempted to reform his language, but only succeeded in changing the outer shape of the vocabulary he used. It still sounded obscene regardless of
choice of word from the list. Truckle can turn the air blue just by saying "socks", and "lovemaking", on his lips, will always sound like something with less syllables that still has a Mr. Tulip-like "-ing" on the end. Naturally, during the Horde's invasion of Dunmanifestin, he disguised himself as the God of Swearing.

Mad Hamish is the oldest member of the Silver Horde. He lives in a wheelchair with terrifying spikes and has a horned helm. He is usually draped under layers
of fur blankets, but underneath all the fur he has swords and other favorite weapons for the barbarian heroes.

Favorite phrase: "Whut? Whut?"

He is very deaf. He also tends to talk in a sort of old dialect. He is also known to have once been married to Pamdar the Witch Queen (who now runs Pams Pantry).

Hamish has, apparently, been where the sun don't shine. During his life, he
took part in many battles, usually on the side of "being paid money to fight".
He once ate legs during a siege. Despite the fact that he lives in a wheelchair
and spends most of his time napping, Hamish has threatened to "knock any man
doon as tells me a'm dead!" and seems quite capable of carrying out the threat.
Waking him up from one of his naps makes him grouchy, and is therefore to be avoided.

One of the younger members of the Silver Horde, at a mere 85 years old. Caleb has, according to Cohen, killed more than 400 men with his bare hands (and likely quite a lot more with various weapons).

Especially proficient with a lump of teak. It is recommended that, should he offer to demonstrate his technique, you watch his foot instead of his hands.

Der Troll hat ein bisschen mehr Grips, als dem Finsteren Fred Fürchterlich lieb ist, aber ihm fehlt jeglicher Orientierungssinn, und er kann sich nicht an seinen Namen erinnern. Er sagt stattdessen nur Das ich bin.

Die Truppe wirklich dummer Schergen besteht aus zwei Dummen Echsenmännern, Achselhöhle, Schlächter, einem Troll, der sich nicht an seinen Namen erinnern kann und einem alten Zombie.

Daughter of Cohen the Barbarian, Conina wants to be a hairdresser and live a normal life but was blessed with incredible looks, hair and skin from her mother (one of innumerable concubines, freed slaves or temple women Cohen has ravished
during his life) and muscles like iron, tendons like hawsers and reflexes like a cat from her father.

She is an incredible thief, a stupendous swordswoman and a one-woman adventure whirlwind. All of which tends to get in the way of living a normal life.

Her one major appearance is in Sourcery when she is duped into stealing the Archchancellor's Hat and ending up in Klatch with Rincewind, Nijel the
Destroyer (an inept barbarian wannabe whom she keeps having to save) and Creosote the Seriph.

After adventures including magic carpets, the Ice Giants and stealing the horses from the Four Horsemen of the Apocralypse whilst they were drinking in a pub,
the Mage Wars end with an uncharacteristically brave act from Rincewind, and Conina and Nijel are brainwashed by the last Sourcerer, Coin, and depart. Presumably they are now Mr and Mrs Harebut, but with her attributes, who
knows which is which...

Rincewind must be one of the most travelled characters in the Discworld series. He has seen Hell, the Dungeon Dimensions, the end of the world and its creation
(where he very probably started life with his sandwich). He has been to XXXX, Klatch, the Agatean Empire, the Rim and all sorts of other interesting places. However, he probably cannot describe any of these places, because he was always running so fast that his feet barely touched the ground. He seems to be constantly running away from danger (as such, most of his scars are on his
back). He is the first to call himself a coward, but in fact he is not.

He always gets himself into dangerous situations, because he always has to help the helpless and innocent, even if half the time he would rather run away before it starts to happen to him.

Also he is very realistic and rather cynical, so he knows when a situation is wrong and when, for instance, a bunch of poor foolhardy kids are going to get themselves killed.

He has been "almost" dead so often that Death calls Rincewind his hobby and does not actually know when he is going to die. Rincewind's life-timer has evolved in shape, much to Death's professional interest: far from resembling
a simple hour-glass, it now manifests as a multi-dimensional glass-blower's nightmare, describing as having apparently been created by a glass-blower who had hiccups in a time machine, most likely due to his extensive dimensional and
temporal travels while in constant fear of death. It is imposible to track the sand inside with any degree of accuracy, as occasionally it appears to move backwards.

Death has a theory about Rincewind. He is aware that many cultures and civilisations have the concept of the Eternal Champion, the eternal, ever-renewed hero, the Champion with a thousand faces. As Death is unable to enlighten even by default on conditions in the next world, He generally refrains from commentating. Privately, though, Death is aware of the particular Discworld condition that every condition and state of mind must have its
opposite - thus Drunk - Knurd, Crime - Anticrime, Matter - Antimatter, etc. He has wondered, as He regards Rincewind's unique life-timer, whether this belongs to the Eternal Coward, the anti-hero with a thousand retreating backs. Many cultures, after all, have the legend of an Eternal Champion who one day will be
reborn in time of greatest need (He even knows there is one in undying sleep underneath Lancre, and there certainly was one in Holy Wood). It is possible that the balance of nature calls for an Eternal Coward who, when faced with waking up one morning to face down great threat, will pull the covers over his head and ignore the alarm clock.

A barbarian heroine and like Cohen, a lifetime in her own legend. She takes the form of a well-rounded matronly woman of about retirement age (for most women of her age) wearing minimalist armour seemingly designed for a much younger woman. The problem is, the much younger woman was also Vena...

Vena for a time retired from the Hero-ing business after marrying an inn-keeper and becoming Mrs. Charlie McGarry. Mrs McGarry went on to have and raise two children (one now an innkeeper, one sadly a paper-maker) who have themselves now had children. Following her husband's death and having seen her grand-children enter the world, Mrs. McGarry decided perhaps Vena should return to the Hero circuit. The discovery at the inn of a scroll that had been left behind by a guest dressed entirely in black sealed the deal, as it were, and sent Vena off on a quest to Dunmanifestin.

She is encountered whilst placidly knitting pleasant wall hangings, that is until you read the message. Of course, in barbarian hero circles "Eat cold steel Pigdog" is possibly equivalent to "Home Sweet Home" one can never tell sometimes.

However, those knitting needles in her hands are deadly.
