Fullback:Not every Blitzer is a star, scoring touchdowns or pounding opponents. Sometimes there is a lot of dirty work to be done on a Blood Bowl pitch that does not get a lot of attention. Leading a rusher up the sideline, screening off potential game changers and blasting holes in defensive lines for the stars to waltz through are what gets a Fullback’s Serotonin pumping.

Aughar had always been the fourth linebacker on the Scimitars as he replaced their first dead vet. He was the forgotten guy behind such legends as Danther Anbrecht, Jother Mantac and Saraner Kelos. He chipped in here and there with the odd touchdown and was always a solid, not flashy guy.

As time went on Danther retired and Jother died on the field, Aughar still continued plodding along at his normal pace as Superstar Saraner Kelos kept putting rather large holes in opponents and others ran in the scores.

In his 62nd game, late in the second half, after the loss of Saraner who went out in a blaze of glory, someone needed to step up. The ball was loose and dangerously placed for a High Elf runaway turnover for a touchdown. Aughar finally took the reigns as the most senior Blitzer and flew in, downing a catcher then streaking up field leading the way for his Thrower to run the score in. It was not to be as Richam Bando was brought down by a toe tap tackle that sent him to the injury box and the ball was recovered by the Elves. In the last seconds, helped out by a blitzing Ogre, Aughar was able to recover the ball, nip past two players and streak in to the end zone and winning the game. Way to step up!

Aughar got a taste for blood against some High Elves, ending one life and nearly another as the apothecary rushed to the aid of his second victim. The normally gentle fullback wiped out a Superstar quarterback while leading home the winning score.

Earned his legend status (the second Scimitar to do so) in a hard fought game (his 131st) but picking up and running in a late fumbled pass from a Werewolf. Aughar spiked the ball and his teammates surrounded him as he was lifted out of the stadium a hero. Oddly enough the game hadn't finished yet but the remaining players saw out the win in fashion befitting to Aughar's career to date

Rookie: Inexperienced and keen, the Rookie Blitzer is a jack of all trades. Able to lay big hits early on and be part of the fast break offence the Scimitars are known for. Rookies will be moulded in to the players they will be simply by a process of the side of the game they shine in early on.

First 3 games and 4 casualties has put Cody on a fast track to greatness, even before he put more effort into training his hitting ability

Tight End: When a Blitzer shows an ability to jink around the field and play the ball with finesse then he is a great asset to the Scimitars. The Tight End is one of those guys who can be a part of all phases of the game, blocking downfield and getting through tight situations to help out, all the while being a significant threat to break off in to the open to catch a pass. This type of flexibility makes them a threat that could easily be overlooked. Their natural ability is also evident on defence when they can quickly nip past attackers to pick off the ball carrier or diving on a bobbling ball and creating turnovers.

First of his kind on the Scimitars

Carl be nimble, Carl be quick, Carl be deadly when called upon. His athleticism and his toughness are a match for most and he'll soon be a likely target for both his own quarterback and his opponents heaviest hitters

Carl's versatility showed through early in a game against some Orcs. He lined up on the line of scrimmage but a timely pitch invasion allowed him to get fed the ball from his teammate before he took off downfield surrounded by an entourage of blockers. The orcs were slow to recover and couldn't stop the dominant Tight End from handing off the ball to a teammate in the End Zone to tie the game as the half time whistle was blown.

Scored his first hattrick in a performance for the ages against an ogre team, leading the Scimitars to victory! Recently, due to the lack of talent on the Scimitars around him, he has also begun fashioning the up and under pass to great effect on break away turnovers. This harmless looking punt upfield leaves the opponents stranded with no play on the ball and Carl is usually safe enough to stroll home the next turn!

Reaching legend status after exactly 75 games

Rookie: Rookie Throwers come in to the world of Blood Bowl having been adored in the underage leagues around the world. The harsh realisation that they are by no means any more special when they start than the next guy comes quick and hard. They have to adapt to survive and can easily end life/career on the end of a Norseman’s knuckleduster.

Route Runner: While the Deep Threat is simply too fast for opponents, the Route Runner is much more finessed. Not as fast but get’s into the open with ease and catches with much more efficiency. Reliability is the key for this type of player, great technique allows him to flash past defenders, using both nimble feet and correct leverage

the first of his kind on the Scimitars

Overyn showed his first flashes of potential in a late game winning turnover score. Lined up on Kick off coverage, he took advantage of a Blitz call, streaking after the well placed kick. Robor wasn't going to get to where the ball was going without an act of athleticism. He launched himself and brought the ball in with both hands, leaving him in the clear. One block from a teammate later, he was in to the end zone, celebrating a vital score.

Anchor: Ogres are pretty simple, in two meanings of the word. Not only are they stupid enough to stand around picking their nose occasionally, they also are pretty analogous. The basic Ogre will be the same player you picked up on his first day in Blood Bowl; strong as an Ox, tough as nails but stupid as sin. Expect this beast to take a beating and occasionally dole it out.

May be already doomed to fail, without even moving off a spot, Tor'Gron was injured in his first game for the Scimitars, he will be back for more punishment soon...

In Tor'Gron's third game, his first action in the second half was to KILL Setekh, the Khemri star player.
