Likhut was the last member to join the Chain Breakers before their first match. The band had decided to try one last ambush before facing its enemies on the pitch when they walked right into a trap themselves. Things were looking grim even against the rather small group of grim, highly skilled Dark Elf soldiers they bumped into, until a dark figure arouse behind the assault squad's captain and cut his throat from behind: Likhut revealed herself as a renegade who wished to join the Chain Breakers and serve their cause.

Likhut proclaims she is "ascending beyond her lower siblings' sinister nature". She admits she tortured prisoners and slaves, yet she demands fierce revenge for all those "poor souls" who suffered at Dark Elves' hands. She frequently states all Dark Elves have to die. And she's also convinced that Blood Bowl is a drink, spiked balls would work better with hooks and she must be drugged all the time because ogres cannot have two heads. Nobody on the team really understands her, many fear her irrationally but are at the same time enchanted by her gloomy aura, her violent mood swings and her beauty.

Thrort spent most of his youth and adulthood as a working slave. In comparison to those of others, it was actually a rather good life: Apart from degenerating into a mental cripple due to all the sinister mind games he had to endure, he only lost one eye for staring at some grumpy Dark Elf.

Even though a bit slow in his mental reactions, he always enjoys a good joke or prank, simpering on even when falling victim to one. He's also constantly going after anything remotely feminine, thereby frequently getting into trouble with his few female teammates. As only one of the consequences, his articulation has suffered a fair bit since Asheea broke his jaw. Doesn't stop Thrort from trying again though.

Leader

Team captain from game #5 on.

When Noeth was freed from the wooden construction he was tied to, some Dark Elf had removed an essential body part (luckily not so much for playing football) and flayed one of his little fingers. Even before his liberators amputated the useless finger, they gave him the pretty dull and little appropriate nickname "the Skinless". Nonetheless, he seemed rather happy it didn't refer to his other badly affected body area.

Noeht frequently shows special interest in the warpstone Squeaky proclaims to have access to. Rumors say he'd even eat the stuff if only it could let him grow back a few body parts...

Noeth became the team's first captain by organizing training sessions and individual coaching. Some suggest he must have been some sort of military leader before falling into the Dark Elves' hands, but so far he has neither denied nor confirmed it.

Since this marauder's tongue has been cut out in his days as a slave, his former name will most likely never be known. "Scarface" seems to be a proper surrogate, after what the Dark Elves have done to his face (and probably the rest of his body, that is constantly hidden under loose, ragged garment). Scarface has developed a unique sign language to coordinate actions on the pitch and several of his brighter teammates use it as well occasionally.

Being of considerable beauty and a woman after all, Asheea had a difficult debut with the future Chain Breakers. Until she managed to smash Thrort's jaw with a well aimed kick as he became too intrusive.

Soon adapting to the outcast's rough life, headbutts became one of her specialties. On the other hand she often shows a fine sense for opportunities and certainly has ambitions to become team captain some day.

In the teams 7th match, the first one in their first Three-Edged Sword Challenge, Asheea got her neck broken by the Bretonnian lineman 'Mauvais Tres' Martin Morte. She has sworn bitter revenge, while the rest of the team did not show too much compassion.

This two-headed ogre's original name was so hard to pronounce (or maybe so dull) that his comrades in arms decided to give him a suitable nickname instead. When during the liberation of Noeht and Yok he tore asunder a heavy iron chain with his bare hands, his name was found.

Deeply respected by his teammates not only for his physical prowess, but also for his calm temper, he ultimately even inspired the team's name.

Chain Breaker monitors all developments in the team closely with one of his heads and he was rather surprised witnessing how Big Dumb One constantly improved his speed until it made a notable difference. It took him a while to find out that the troll was secretly training with Gkuxr. Deeply impressed, he joined them and after a couple of months made impressive efforts on his own.

In his 13th game he killed a wood elf linemen. He seemed to be surprised.

After the first game of Season II, in which Halen and Brognot had been killed, Chain Breakers fans and players alike went on rampage, trying to beat up some fans of |Much Ado About Nothing| at least. They did not get far as they were stopped by more than a handful of very persuasive Dark Elf guards. However, later a smaller group, lead by Thrort One-Eye grabbed a careless Dark Elf nobleman and managed to destroy his hairstyle - and free one of his slaves, a young human woman. By that, Alice became part of the team.

After the rather disappointing performance of the latest rookies, the Chain Breakers where actually glad to add another true slave to their ranks. Even though some say Alice exaggerates her link to the past by refusing to let go of the chain that shackles her hands together ("Not until this chain is dripping from Dark Elf blood!")... As she was not the first weirdo to join the team, no one really disapproves.

When Gkuxr joined the Chain Breakers, he brought this monstrosity with him. Only referring to him as "Big Dumb One", the name was taken over by the rest of the band soon enough. The troll doesn't seem to care. Actually, it doesn't seem to understand much anyway, but as it makes a lot of noise and seems to offend even the Dark Elves twisted taste of aesthetics for some reason, it has a safe place on the team.

Killed skaven linerat Toothy in his 5th match. It obviously didn't get that the Cult of Algorgothron is fighting for the same goals as the Chain Breakers. Or does the troll actually know more about the cult than the rest of the team?

In his second game, the new Squeaky showed his true face, crippling the already pitiful Horny, revealing himself as a hunter of the weak. Consequently, he totally hold back the rest of the game, as there was no-one weaker than himself left on the opposing team.

This beast only ever speaks one word. Since it roughly sounds like "Hukon" (and the team members with a sense for irony liked the idea of having an "avatar" of their foe's god of destruction among themselves on their quest against them), it was given the minotaur as his name as well - apparently to Hukon's content.

When Hukon takes up speed, racing forward to crush his opponents, the earth is indeed trembling - quite appropriate for the god of earthquakes' namesake.

In the team's last match of the first season, Hukon showed his true potential and determination as he picked up the ball and ran it all down the pitch for the touchdown, while his team was seriously struggling against the Dark Elf team Seventh Watchtower. It took him almost all half, but he scored and thereby led the Chain Breakers to their second victory.

Wandering around on his own quite often, he one day stumbled over Chain Breaker, Big Dumb One and Gkuxr engaged in some rather strange activity. Agile as he is, he started to follow them frequently until he got a grasped their intention... and from that time on, the Chain Breakers had a jogging club, featuring three big guys and one goblin trotting around lakes, Blood Bowl fields and old Dark Elf manors.
As for his companions, it soon payed off for Hukon as well - making him even greater a scoring threat.

In his 12th match (#3 in the second season), Hukon managed to stomp into his opponent's endzone for his second touchdown. His team still lost 1-2, but all cheered for the balling hulk anyway. Only one match later he scored touchdown number three.

Kick

Yiahak had been working as a smuggler and underground merchant in Naggaroth for a while (at least he states so), when he was finally caught by the Dark Elves. Luckily for him, a mixed group of Chain Breakers and Arbiters fans were rampaging through the street near the stadium where the two teams had just met for the first time when this happened. He was able to use to tumult to escape and vanish into the fan crowd. As he was now known and wanted by the authority, he did the only thing he could to get some kind of immunity: He joined the Chain Breakers.

While Chain Breaker himself said he didn't trust the new recruit yet, team captain Noeth and the rest of the team either accepted him or do not care about such things as loyalty and trust at all. He also somehow managed to be awarded Most Valuable Player twice in no time.

There can be no doubt he shows some effort to improve the team, although perfecting kicking the ball at the beginning of a drive has probably not been without ulterior motives, as it makes him too valuable to put him at the Line of Scrimmage...

Payback time seems to have come a couple of games later, when he got seriously injured by an opponent and the team's apothecary held back on treating him, not giving him more than the basic first aid procedure.

In his 7th game, Yiahak had to suffer again, getting his back damaged by some dark elf. Again, the apothecary did not show much passion and rather focused on all the KO'd players in the dugout.

Block

Pierre, an adventurous young Bretonnian noble, had come to Naggaroth during the first international Three-Edged Sword Challenge in his homeland's teams' entourage to learn more about the world and seek glory and fame. When the Mont Royale Habitants played against the Chain Breakers, he felt pity and excitement immediately as soon as he realized that their opponents were not trained acrobats and fighters, but mere rebels against the establishment, trying to win their struggle on the pitch.

He joined the team right after the match and was keenly welcomed when he offered his insights into the more refined aspects of the sport as well as his athletic skills.

He is the first player to learn how to Block properly - after 13 Chain Breakers games and quite a lot of skill rolls for the team.

When Kax showed up while the Chain Breakers were preparing for the next season, no-one was too fond of the idea to let another goblin into the team after Gkuxr. However, the stout little fella was annoying enough to make team captain Noeth give in. Kax did not show any gratitude, but boasted how he would revolutionize the team's tactics and eventually lead it to success in the upcoming season.
