Just reclaimed the top of the division for now with 4-1-0.
Lynels lose to Jortles today.
Wrecks, Sinners, Jortles and my Cattle are the only undefeated so far, if i am not mistaken. |

NBFL S24 Mid-season Recap
Before you know it, half of the season is already done! Seven weeks of exciting Blood Bowl are in the books, but seven rounds of thrilling action remain! A few teams already have their eyes on the playoffs, but almost everyone still has a shot if things break right for them (and/or break wrong for their opponents). Let's take a look at the current standings:
NFC South
1. Decay Bay Bloateneers (4-2-1, 34 pts)
2. Atlatl Flechettes (4-1-2, 31)
3. Nawlins Lost Saints (1-1-5, 10)
4. Carolin' Reapers (1-1-5, 10)
There is little surprise to see Decay Bay follow up a successful inaugural campaign with an even better sophomore run so far, but the rookie Flechettes have managed to keep pace with their rivals through the midway point. Nawlins and Carolin' though? Not so much. Plus, we would be remiss if we didn't mention the end of the final incarnation of the NBFL-curse and NCBB-legend, Herger.
NFC West
1. C'attle C'haos (5-2-0, 41 pts)
2. Los Angeles Glams (4-2-1, 34)
3. Fan Foulcisco Fakes (0-3-3, 12)
4. Hot Arizona Sticky (1-1-5, 10)
Another year, another close race between C'attle and LA for the top spot in the West. With a single combined loss between the two, they will likely be neck-and-neck until the end, though coach Meno currently has the edge due to a rare head-to-head victory over the Glams. Lastly, the Fakes and Hot Sticky are hoping to play spoiler after their seasons have gone poorly.
NFC East
1. Witchington Paleskins (3-3-1, 30 pts)
2. New York Genocides (3-0-4, 21)
3. Dallas Crowbar (1-3-3, 16)
4. Phull-o-s'elfia Egos (1-2-4, 13)
Last season's division champs, the Egos, are now at the bottom in the cellar where they belong. Dallas isn't too far from them, and while New York has managed to already eclipse last season's very-low bar of two wins, no one expects much from them in the second half. That leaves the Paleskins in the driver's seat, who twice befuddled division rivals with 4-0 shellackings already this year.
NFC North
1. Destroit Lynels (5-1-1, 38 pts)
2. Chicago Coronablights (3-3-1, 30)
3. Manglesota Vile Kings (2-3-2, 23)
4. Green Baynana Grabbers (1-4-2, 19)
You know that life is tough in the best division in the league when the legendary coach Grue is sitting at the bottom with a mere one win! Not to mention, this group had a difficult crossover with the AFC South, but both Chicago and especially Destroit thrived in these conditions. However, Manglesota nor anyone else will be counted out so easily, as they all still have playoff aspirations.
AFC South
1. Jakesonville Jortles (3-2-2, 27 pts)
2. Titannesse Kraken's (1-4-2, 19)
3. Houston T-Rexans (2-1-4, 17)
4. Indianapolis Hippies (0-4-3, 12)
Speaking of, the AFC South had a rough go in the first half, with three teams currently sitting under twenty points. But that means the division is still up for grabs, as the Jortles have a respectable but not insurmountable 27 points on the year. Things got harder for Houston, however, when two-time Offensive Player of the Year Doug Bloodwin [SEA] took a perm in the first half finale (to a fireball, one of several to cause problems for the team so far).
AFC West
1. Las Vegas Sinners (3-4-0, 33 pts)
2. Denver Brontos (3-3-1, 30)
3. San Dogo Chompers (2-3-2, 23)
4. Kansas City Thiefs (3-0-4, 21)
You know your division is doing well when the lowest point total is 21, but you also know things are close when no one has more than three wins! The Sinners are one of the two unbeatens left (along with C'attle), but they have no breathing room with the Brontos right on their tails. However, both San Dogo and KC are within striking distance, and Nuffle is notoriously fickle at times...so anything can happen!
AFC East
1. New York Wrecks (3-3-1, 30 pts)
2. Olde Reikland Paid Rioters (3-2-2, 27)
3. Meame Phrophins (2-2-2, 20)
4. Buffaelo Khills (1-1-5, 10)
The Wrecks emerge from the first half with a very solid record, but they may be looking over their shoulders a lot more than they want to going forward. Both Olde Reikland and Meame are keeping pace, especially after the slann upset New York 2-1 in week seven. Finally, the Khills are...struggling, to say the least. Hopefully they will spill enough blood to appease their god, less he spill theirs.
AFC North
1. Cleaved Land Bedlam (4-2-1, 34 pts)
2. Kaepsburgh Kneelers (4-0-3, 28.)
3. Cincinnati Hydras (3-2-2, 27)
4. Smaltimore Bedaines (2-1-4, 17)
Lastly, we have the division that very few people thought much of going into the season...and yet we have three teams with at least three wins! Rookie squad Cleaved Land finds themselves on top right now (despite almost everyone hammering their draft class), with the veteran Kneelers right behind them. But the Hydras are a single point behind Kaepsburgh, and Smaltimore can still easily play the roll of spoiler and ruin someone's playoff plans.

Star players never die. They bring their own Apos to the game. They would never use yours, and thus theirs always works, and they only ever get badly hurt. They don't go back into a game where they are hurt for obvious reasons. |

piffles! it's still important to note. I think a league record of how often one Star Player has died would be awesome. |
