A day that will live in infamy
Today is the 75th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the pivotal event that brought the USA into WWII. No agenda here, just thought it was worth noting. Also figured there might be some younger folks who might not be aware of it.

It was also my grandfather's 18th birthday (in 1941). Both of my grandfathers served in the war. I honor their memory and all those veterans who are still alive today.

Sounds like a good day for a theme team

it does. I'll leave it someone else, I feel like I have enough teams for now.

It was infamous, and brutal. But then, so were the nuclear bombs at the end of the war. As usual, wrongs were done on both sides .. :(

"a great tactic would be to avoid war", right?

JellyBelly, if an arsonist sets your house on fire (tries to brutally conquer pacific ocean nations) and a fireman sprays it down, flooding your carpet and electronics (atombomb)...which one is at fault for ruining your carpet/computer and should be sued for damages?

The arsonist (Japan), or the Firefighter (USA)?

@Arktoris, why am I not at all surprised to read such crap, err, meant to say well balanced statement, from you?

I'm hoping PainState will weigh in on this conversation ;)

why am I not at all surprised Meanandugl has nothing of substance to add to the discussion, just a base reaction.

Discussion? Lol. We can "discuss" this to the end in a game of chess if you want. Good guy against bad guy. Being from the US you will represent the righteous of course. However, in chess even the righteous have to play by the rules and can't change them to their liking.

@Cavetroll: to be very clear, I don't have any issues with your initial blog
