Are you objective?
Yesterday I wrote a blog where I complained about a dropper. Well, it was fake! The whole blog was copied and pasted from KingSnakeeyes of 2007:

Why did I do this? This way was a test to either confirm or discard the hypothesis, that users rate blogs not only on content but also on sympathy for its creator.
The blog with 100% same content of KingSnakeeyes was rated with 4,5 my blog with 3,7.
That's not a huge difference (I expected a higher gap), so my conclusion is:

Yes, people vote mostly the content, still sympathy is regarded in some extent for the rating.

Are you sure you have enough ratings and other controls for this difference to be statistically significant? I voted 1, but only cause the Red Sox are getting hammered and it's making me grumpy!

I didnt know KingSnakeeyes had any kind of fans.... tbh I'm suprised either of you got blogs rated above 2.5 ;)

I noticed that since this experiment your blogs have been slammed even harder than usual with the ratings. poosible playing a trick to find out if people dont like you has not had a particularly positive effect.

no...different people, with different opinions, voting differently n the same topic?...NO WAY!!!!....

dominik...people voting your blogs low isn't a reflection on them...it's a reflection on you...maybe you should consider that....
