150 games later, and it's been... interesting. This was my start in box, and all the teams I played were new to me, so it's been pretty rough going. Still, got some wins, killed some opponents, and had some good chats along the way.

What have I learned?

Chaos Pact: team was slow to develop, I never got a blocking big guy, and I didn't really have a good idea of how to use the team.

Chaos dorf: ST5 bull is awesome for projecting power, and with Sure Hands and Break Tackle also quite good for scoring.

Human: Least fun of all my teams. Never hired an ogre, probably wouldn't have liked it any better that way.

Vampire: so many challenges with positioning that I screwed up. Still... when the hypno-gaze of a cage corner works just right and the vampires swoop in to pop the ball out, then have another one pick it up and run away with it, it's pure vampire magic and very cool. Pro turns out to be really good as a third or fourth skill.

Flings: Flings gotta fling. And flings gotta foul. My only (!) win in the thirty games was 2-0 against Dorfs. Two blocking trees == awesome.

All my teams managed to maintain a positive casualty record, if just barely with vampires and flings.

Also (from the Statistics page):

Fouls: 728 for, 181 against... that's nearly 5 a game. It's usually not a very winning strategy (obviously) but my little guys love their boots.

Thanks to all the friendly opponents who got their SPP's off my back, I look forward to picking five new races to play next season.
