Fumbbl Cup considerations
Such a long time I don't write a blog, but I think that Fumbbl Cup ride by my lame pro elves and their oneturner (Elfi Professionisti) deserves an entry :)
I usually play Majors with my old darkies but this time I got mad and I joined the Fumbbl Cup with my pro elves... honestly I was just hoping to play some nasty clawpomb chaos on first turn, having my team destroyed but win the match with a last oneturn td and go out on the second turn :D
Anyway, oneturner or not, an incredible mix of things happened to bring my elves to the Final.
Here's a sorf of report:
1st match
Oneturner: 8 turns played, no TD, no oneturn try
2nd match
Bye
3rd match
Oneturner: 8 turns played, no TD, no oneturn try
Opponent failed last GFI to tie the score on first half
4th match
The dominik one…
Oneturner: 11 turns played, 1 TD (no oneturn)
This was a very discussed match during and especially after; I timed-out my opponent that was not happy about that, started a forum post after the match and failed miserably to have any support by the community :D

Oneturner: 16 turns played, 1 TD (no oneturn)
6th match
Oneturner: 16 turns played, 2 TDs, first tourney oneturn TD to win the game on last turn
Opponent failed last GFI to tie the score on first half
Semifinal
Oneturner 17 turns played, 5 TDs, 4 oneturn TDs including the winning one on overtime
Oneturner blitzed 3 times and failed bolt on him
Shame on Gary: I used a rr on a catch during a blitz! action without thinking it is a bug and I should have not use it...
Final
Oneturner: 8 turns played, no TD, failed oneturn TD starting second half (0-0)
At the end, oneturner was massively used only on semifinal and gave me the win on quarterfinals; against slow team it was mostly used as ballcarrier... anyway, too much of a mix of really weird situations during all the Fumbbl Cup, I really doubt this team will have a similar run on another tourney ;)

The team was a good one, the oneturner was just icing on the cake really.
I don't think the catch rr made any huge difference in our game.

To be fair on our game the GFI I failed (with reroll) was avoidable, and having failed a GFI (with reroll) to score on my own drive the round before, you'd think I'd have done everything not to have to leave that chance there again.
The one turner would not have been a factor either as I had greased shoes!!

Joking aside, well done, awesome work to get so far. Great sportsmanship from Uedder to say it wouldn't have mattered. Is there a way to make these bugs better known in tournaments and more enforceable? There are some less scrupulous coaches who unfortunately might claim not to know the bug. Appreciate there is the known bug list but it's hardly well known or easily digestible.

Thanks Gary! I enjoyed following EP's glorious FC campaign this year.
I have played far more Pelfs than any other team, they are still easily my favourite, but I'm not great with them. I decided to try Delves this time because I though Pros were too fragile to be competitive. You proved that theory wrong.
This my first major getting passed third round, was exciting for me getting to quarter finals and also getting eaten up by Marvin Tribute. We survived into overtime, but without key players, especially sacker, tough going. Like you, it was a double one at the wrong time (it's never the right time of course) that sealed our fate.
Nicodaz has a great system. He really showed how it's done. A worthy Fumbbl champion. Gratz to you too flying the Pro Elf flag high well played.

My Chaos improved their TV by 300 in the meantime and I haven't been timed out or hit the four minute since like 25 games. Your days are gone!
