So after Almost 10 months out of playing tourney games i thought i'd get back into the swing of things. PK&Q would be the first tourney this year i could attend and not have to stay over night. Last time i went to PK&Q i had a rotten time and my norse ranking dropped like a stone, so i decided that i would go for the fun of playing and not worry to much about results. The only thing i wanted to try and do was back to back wins, as this was one thing i lacked in my game. So i packed up the dwarfs and went out to enjoy it!

Game 1: skaven firebreather, he kicked to me and i failed to pick up, before i knew it, a runner had zipped in and long bombed the ball into his back field. So from receving i'm now on defence. Bash bash bash and he only had one runner left, i kept on hitting his halfback to stop the length of the field TD. Second half and his blocking Rat orge came back from the thrown rock at kick off and my death roller was asked to leave the field at half time. He managed to stall me for 7 turns and just needing two Go for it's with a reroll to score the game finished 0-0.

Game 2: halfling Mudson, I've played Mudson before and really like enjoyed that game, last time it was halfling VS dwarf as well. Again he kicked to me, both trees rooted by turn 3 so i dodged all three of my blockers out and he could not really stop me from scoring. second half and he two turn throw team mate scored past me, that was really cool. So he kicked to me and with a lack of number i ground him down for a win 2-1.

Game 3: Dwarf, DavidTomlinson36 he had dwarf as well, only difference was he had two slayers and no roller. I kicked to him and just tried to stall him, he tried a throw to a player down field and failed, so i picked the ball up and scored on turn 8, second half he kicked to me, he then popped the ball after some bad decisions from me but failed to control the ball, so i got it back and went on to score again in turn 8

So after day one i had my back to back wins and was sitting on table two for the next game only prob was it was dwarf again.

Game 4: Dwarf Thadrin, i didn't want a scrap in the middle of the park as i would be down on numbers after half time due to my roller going off, so he kick to me and i jinxed my cage and went for a break, leaving him with a 1 die block at best to turn me over. So he popped the ball and went on to score, also i had to use my guard, leader blocker to foul a blocker and turn him over as that was were i was setting my cage and didn't want him squatting in there, and was duely sent off for it. second half and i was down on numbers, no roller and one reroll down. The best i could do was make him sweat for the 2nd TD and with some super rolling i had him wishing he hadn't stalled for that one turn, but anyway he went on to score his second. 0-2

Game 5: High elf dwarfcoach, again i had played dwarfcoach before and won, and again i really liked playing DC as he plays the game in a great sprit and loves it. Kicked to him with the roller off and he scored in two turns, so i had 6 tunrs to score and the roller on as well, burnt most of my rerolls on GFT's to try and stop him from scoring and getting the dwarfs in position to stop him from upsetting my cage. But i managed to score before half time due to some bad rolls from DC. Half time 1-1 and all to play for. He kicked to me and i knew i had to run this ball back as slow as i could, After a lot of bashing and again some bad rolls from DC i managed to roll it over the line on turn 8. 2-1

Game 6: Kermi, darkson, never played darkson before so i was looking forward to the game. |He had four mummys, three with guard and one with break tackle. Kicked to him and it turned out to be a scrum in the middle of the park, but he was losing players and i wasn't. He broke out with a skeleton and left me a 1 die block, which my guy took up on and CAS'ed the skeleton and ran the ball back to score. half time 1-0. He kicked off to me and i knew i had to just hold on to the ball and wait for the gap to score. Again things got bogged down in the middle of the park and he popped the ball. The ball landed on his mummy with break tackle and counting up the squares he would need two GFTs in the three turns he had to score, so i pushed him back one square trying to make him roll more dice next turn. The mummy broke free after some pushing and moved its full Mov, after counting that my blitzer still could be in range he chose a GFT and failed it. After he remembered that the mummy had break tackle and had better odds to just dodge away. So a hard fought 1-0.

So i the end i came 3rd, not bad really with all the time i have had away from BB and the lack of pratice of late and also got two sets of back to back wins.
