Double 5 on a +ST human catcher
My catcher has got block, sidestep and +st so far. Now he's rolled double 5s. What would you decide? Guard as MA as MB seems legit to me. Thanks for the input!

MA for the easy score. You have enough guards and MBs on Blitzers / Ogres.

MA for me by far.

Good to see personal blogs being used for personal skill choices; rather than blocking up the forums.

I'd probably go guard.

Mostly because of the current lack of it on the team.

Otherwise +MA, if you're looking at the long term build

Guard is for contact and unadvisable to me in a av7 expensive player. Mb could be of use for Long range backup blitzer. But I would Definitely go for MA as it gives you the chance for the natural one turner. And that is game winner

MA for sure, that's an easy one.

I think i would take +AV, or guard. Movement is not needed for this player. He will most likely be a marking specialist, with block +STR, +AV (or guard), SideStep, DivingTackle. +AV helps at fulfilling that job turn after turn, whereas Guard helps you in a scrum. AV works in isolation better, and Guard in a crowd.

I think Guard is a great skill, but i think I would take the +AV as it makes him more reliable, and reach his full potential. Plus there are no great odds that he is hit with a claw/tackle/mb player, and even if that happens, the other player took a skill to counter that +AV. So the downside of taking +AV is minimal.

That is a tough one. +MV or +AV. Those are the real choices. bghandras is a better coach than I and I can see him making the most of the player with +AV to keep him on the field. Used well, +AV is probably the better choice.

However, I am not that good of a player and the +MV would be a great crutch to help with scoring. For coaches like me, that +AV will help me win a few more games while the player lives.

+MA.

Move 9 and sidestep gives a decent chance for one turning, and helps for scoring in general. Do it!
+AV as marking specialist could be interesting but really seems to be squandering his high move. It would be an odd choice.

I think using this guy as 1 turning specialist, rather than waiting for an ag4 catcher for that role, would mean squandering the great potential of this particular player!

A lot of people have said make a one turner.
Yet with mv9 you could get Shadowing later on and have a player that can really mark their position. Yet +av means the player will last an a lot longer and he already has a target on his back.

So I am thinking, give him a punch in the face so he gets Foul appearance!
