The Mutant Athletes League (MAL) is a simple and straightforward Chaos Renegade Lineman Only Redrafting league, open to any Fumbbl Coaches from anywhere on the globe.

We feature the BB 2020 Ruleset, including the 2020 advancement system, as well as giving each player access to Passing SKills as secondary skills in addition to their normal access.

The league features as close to a 6 game season as possible, with a Championship Game after the end of the season between the two best teams of that season, as well as a Wooden Spoon Game for the two worst performing teams of that season.

Each team in the MAL will be made using the MAL special roster: a Chaos Renegade roster with 0-16 Lineman who have access to GM Skills on a Primary and ASP Skills on a secondary. No other position on the Chaos Renegade roster will be available.

All inducements are allowed as normal, and Claws does stack with any abilities that affect Armor, such as Mighty Blow.

New teams will be created using a 1,000k budget for the next season, and returning teams will redraft their player with a budget of 1,000k plus 20k for each game played that wasn’t a concession, a Championship game, or a Wooden Spoon match (the 20k will be given to teams whose opponent forfeits a match).

Each season will be played as close to 6 gamesas possible with the number of coaches commiting for that season. Each coach will be given a 14 day window to play each game to allow for conflicting schedules but to ensure the season continues at a decent pace.

If a forfeit ever occurs and only one of the two coaches is in contact with the league commissioner (currently: Dieuraskel), then that coach will be given 50k plus 5k for each dedicated fan to that team’s treasury. That coach may select one player to receive 3 SPP and the league commissioner will randomly select a player on that team’s roster to gain 4 SPP.

At the end of each season a Mutants’ Championship match will be played between the top two teams of that season, with the winner being declared that season’s Champion!

In addition, the two worst teams of that season will play a Wooden Spoon match at the end of the season, with the loser being awarded that season’s Wooden Spoon!
Season 1 will be broken up into two identical halves: Season 1.1 and Season 1.2.

In each half, each team will play each opposing team once and can play any opponents in any order. Each half of the season will be up for 6 weeks or until all games have been played.

For Season 1.1, Teams are asked to commit to the following deadlines:

  • At least 1 game will be played before May 15th.
  • At least 2 games will be played before May 29th.
  • All 3 games will be played before June 12th.

All games not played before June 12th at 00:01 Fumbbl Server Time will be Forfeited.

Season 1.2 will begin as soon as all games in Season 1.1 have been played or on June 12th at 00:00 Fumbbl Server time, whichever happens first. The deadlines for Season 1.2 will be set when it starts, but each team will get 14 days to play each match.

Teams will score 2 points for each win, 1 point for each tie, and 0 points for each loss. Once the season finishes, the two teams with the most points will play the Championship Match and the two teams with the least amount of points will play in the Wooden Spoon Match.

Tiebreakers for Season 1 are:
  1. Head to Head Record (If the tie is between two teams)
  2. Touchdown Differential (TDs Scored minus TDs Opponents Scored)
  3. Touchdowns Scored
  4. Casualty Differential (Same formula as TD Differential but with Casualties)
  5. Casualties Inflicted
  6. Lower/Lowest TV (The Team with the Lower/Lowest TV wins the Tiebreaker)
