“With only a handful of game played above the 200TR level, these elves don't often get to play some of the famous teams on fumbbl. Fortunately, the stars aligned just right and found the Weapon Masters sitting in our oh-so-low range.

Nuffle decided that the Elves should be given pow after pow on their blocks throughout most of the game. The skaven suffered the opposite fate and it left the elves with greater numbers on the pitch pretty much throughout as skaven armor broke with regularity.

Still, game was tied 2-2 with the elves receiving in the 2nd half. Elves looked to go right and drew most of the rats to that side of the pitch. Elves reversed field and survived a blitz on the Fawkes. He swings around to the open man for the handoff (for a run to the endline) and watches the ball gets muffed back behind him. Skaven pick it up, see Fawkes double skulls the block, and dodge out for daylight. A brilliant 'punt' is executed by the rats and an attempt to blitz free to mark both forward men fails. 3-2 Masters.

Elves try one more time, but get gummed up around a blodge gutter runner and fail to equalize on turn 8. I may have been able to blitz out a different way...too tired now to look.

Chuckle moment: Came when I realized I took sure FEET on my thrower instead the much more useful hands...

Post game: Fawkes MVP'd and skilled up only to age a niggle (at least I still have my sure footed thrower healthy). Made 80K which allows me to finally buy a 2nd catcher - when was the last time this team had two catchers? Scored twice and caused two casualties and still lost fan factor...must be Weapon Masters fans now.
