| Each year Sir Heinrich, mayor of Cocktown had the same problem: what to give the eccentric Duke Wilhelm I of Oberwald for his birthday? Last year's singing and fiddling dog hadn't won him many favours, and Sir Heinrich could really use a few favours right now..... His thoughts were interrupted by Kurt, his Sheriff. "Boss, what do you want me to do with this thieving gang of Halflings? They drank the Herrlich Brewery dry and didn't want to pay after all the beer was gone. Will it be the gallows, as usual?" Suddenly, Sir Heinrich knew what to do. "You there", he said to the most sober looking Halfling. "I'll give you lot a choice. Either you'll be hanged in the morning, or you can try to earn your freedom by playing 10 games of bloodbowl, for Duke Wilhelm's amusement." Those of you alive after 10 games, will be free to go". And so, with 2 strong Treemen as guards, The Cocktown Convicts were formed. Should any halfling attempt to flee the pitch, then the instructions for the Treemen were simple: throw them about until they stepped back in line, or died while learning their lesson. |
