Border Princes Starting Roster & Tactics

“Border Princes... I don’t know how the region gained such a regal name. Travelling there you must pass through the Grey Mountains, Bay of Wrecks or the Forest of Gloom. Even if you manage to navigate these filthy lands without being ambushed or ship wrecked you then have to face Blood Bowl teams made up of the very bandits that stalked your every move on the journey there.” Erewine Whingsome – Everbold Unicorns' Catcher

Variation 1

  • 4 Brawlers
  • 2 Rogues
  • 1 Runner
  • 4 Linemen
  • 2 Dedicated fans
  • 3 Re-rolls
  • Total = 995k

This starting roster is the conservative approach. 3 Re-rolls is all you'll ever need. Brawler gives you reasonably reliable Blocking and you start with 2x Dodge players in your Rogues. Stab also gives you reliable attempts at hitting the opposition. The runner has Sure Hands and between the Brawlers, Rogues and Runner you have a pretty high average Ma across the team.

Variation 2

  • 1 Ogre
  • 3 Brawlers
  • 2 Rogues
  • 1 Runner
  • 4 Linemen
  • 3 Dedicated fans
  • 2 Re-rolls
  • Total = 1000k

This starting roster is the slightly less reliable than the previous one. 2 Re-rolls comes with a little risk, though you still start with 3 Brawlers which makes Blocking fairly reliable and you start with 2x Dodge players in your Rogues. Stab also gives you reliable attempts at hitting the opposition. The runner has Sure Hands and between the Brawlers, Rogues and Runner you have a pretty high average Ma across the team. You do lose 1 Brawler in this build as well as the re-roll but that allows you to start with a higher Dedicated Fans which makes accumulating money quicker, plus you start with an Ogre, which is useful for tying opposing players up and for dealing with higher strength opposing teams.
