This is a good solid and fairly reliable starting roster. You lack core skills so you need 3 Re-rolls. The Werebears primary role is to tie up opposing players, and they give you a little punch too. Don't let them get hit too much though as they aren't that hard to remove from the pitch. Your Werewolves are useful for narrowing the pitch due to their high Ma and Frenzy, plus they have Claw so add a little punch to your team, the Werewolves are a luxury though. The real stars of the team are actually the Werecats, they are fast and mobile, but they are very squishy. Using them effectively is the key to your teams success. Get them all Dodge asap!

This starting roster variant is even more conservative. You lose a Werewolf in place of an extra Cat and starting with an Apothecary. This gives you protection for your Big Guys mainly. You need to look after them to keep the team functioning. If they go then your team is in trouble. The other advantage is you start with 3 Dedicated fans, which means you should accumulate money quicker. So you can get a few Cat reserves, then start getting more Werewolves in time.
