Once again these icons are way better. Love the chaos warriors. Love the bullcentaurs. Love all the dwarves. And the Ogres are the shiz-nit. |

I am glad you like the chaos warriors... I played a match against chaos last night and it was great to see those bruisers smooshing my goblins.
UPDATE:
*HUMANS modified to make more visually different.
*AMAZONS modified to make more visually different.
*VAMPIRES based on new Figures (blood dragons) |

This all look great but I've got to say that the beastmen with the brown head and flesh toned body seem a bit strange. I guess I've just always envisioned my beastmen as all brown and furry. |

GW Beasties have nekkid man-flesh... new beastmen are mostly darker-manflesh and more furry. I mean they ain't wookies.
THo old besties were painted with lighter flesh, the new ones have dark skin and fur so they look brown all over but they are still lacking full-body fur |

Nick ... I have the hope that some day soon ... the PBeM program will be able to use Icons as well.
How does the Java program show Prone and Stunned players or players that have moved?
The icon pack I was working on had them facing foward if not moved, sideways for moved, pic of them on the ground if prone, and pic of them on the ground with dark grey background if stunned.
Having not played with Ski's program ... can you tell me how the icons work for the 4 different conditions?
Thanks ... if you want you can PM me the details. Really like your work.

The original icons were actually made for PBEM and the Java icons were rezived from the 20x20 and these became the set for small pitch:
Currently, SKIJUNKIES client uses transparency to denote 'moved' and a white SLASH and X to determine down and stunned.
It makes it simple and removes the need for more than just 2 icons and allows it to go consistant across icons to 'circles'
Also Update:
ELVES are done! yay!
3 THRALL icons and the core set is *DONE* with fully updated icons for every team. Star players are also in the works. |

I haven't used the PBEM tool yet; But from a pure user perspective, the best thing would be if "PBEM Blood Bowl" and "Java Blood Bowl" AND the Replay Tool became ONE programm, with just diffrent playing modes;
Hotseat, 2 People, one PC
LAN, 2 People, local Network
Internet, 2 People, Internet
PBEM, 2 People, via eMail
Replay, well watching a game, pretty self explanatory.
Just wishful thinking on my part; But i think you tool programmers should share your source codes with each other. Not with everybody, i can understand that, but the big driving forces of online tools should stop to waste resources by doing their own thin everybody basically;
Seriously, why don't you team up and start working on a completely new Blood Bowl PC simulation.
Sure this is all hobby and time is the issue, but wouldnt working as a team resolve this issue somewhat in the long run? |

I have to agree... fan-collabs don't work. The only reason most real art/programming projects work is because 'you do it this way or you don't get paid'.
And while making a game based on BB and other people's games for a fandom is great... Tools with this sophistication could be created to play a game of someone's original design and then sold to a company like 'YAHOO GAMES' for boatloads. If any of these skilled programmers were going to spend the time recreating something from scratch or a heavy modification, I would suggest they do something based on original concepts and cash in on it.
(I had a beta rules for a Baseball fantasy board game... it was a fun tabletop game) |
