The Finns won the game 4-1. Quite ironically, the tournament was hosted by Sweden, and the swedes were getting ready to celebrate victory, they even had a song written about it. When Finland won, the song became quite famous in Finland |

Actually, the song was intended for the championship, not victory. We still had that "the important thing is to participate" mentality back then... |

Finland 6 - 0 Sweden. Jarkko Ruutu will check Forsberg and both Sundins out during the first five minutes. |

Finland will fail horribly. They are better but history shows that mystical failures follow our team. |

Tnx Karhumies for the translation. Your Finnish is even worse than mine
Hyvvää Routsi! Hejja Sverige! Go Sweden!
This will sure be an exciting afternoon. Right now I'm watching the swedish commenatator and the finnish commenator arguing their "cases". Two good teams, a game with more than a gold at stake, two nations stopping for 2,5 h. I love it!
Just to bad Ruutu are still in the tourney. I can't understand why some of you finnish guys want to celebrate and elevate him. It saddens me. He should've been banned from the tourney. That checking/charging and then that stupid smile afterwards........thats almost worth starting a fouling thread about |
