Nice but I think the POW-symbol would be cooler than the fire background. |

Dog, I love your work
My main feedback (as discussed) is that perhaps the explosion doesn't link in with the Royal/regal aspect of the tournament. I wonder if there is a way to have the ball on something that gives a royal impression, like a crown? |

VERY nice UI logo, but the royal one looks like something my 2 year old cousing would make with a magazine and glue. |

I did a version for the "warpstone is purple" camp too

Nice work here from momfreeek
But....
Malthor felt the warpstone trophy images looked a bit flat. After a bit of discusion I felt that to give the images more depth would be tough and the best course of action was to have a go myself.
I have kept momfreeek's original idea but re-done the trophy itself...

Hey BnWDog,
What software do you use to create your fantastic banners and images?
I made a really lame attempt at the FUMBBL SMACK using GIMP. Possibly I don't how to use it well but I kind of found it a little limited. I guess open source software is limited compared to purchased software. Anyway I live in Vietnam, so pirated software is not the hardest commodity to get hold of. Actually it's pretty freakin' easy, many shops that blatantly sell pirated software.
Where can one store their images in order to create a link to display in this forum? Even though displaying my attempt could be personally humiliating when compared to a god like yourself, it may just spark creative juices.
Also we need to talk about your site. Well I assume it’s your photography site. But we can do that in IRC over a private channel.
Cheers,

These programs are not for beginers, but once you get the hang of them the posibilities are endless! Very Happy |

If you can get the banner under 10k then upload it to your fumbbl gallery and then link it once its been approved.
If over 10k then you will need your own hosting. You can get small amounts of free hosting all over the place on the net. Alough I would try the more respectable companys like Yahoo etc first
Idea's are always the first step to creating great images. I have had no formal image editing or photography training myself |
