For the last 3 days I've been tearing my hair out trying to connect i.p. to i.p.
Finally after pestering a couple of mates from the league I'm about to be in I connected to a game - using the standard Java Client HTML teams. Teams I had created using either of the 2 team editors (HTM files) would not trigger the 'server' or 'client' sequence - they would just do... nothing.
Is this right? Do all teams need to be in HTML to work over the network? I clicked on 'R' next to my teams and 'save page as' to save the teams offline. They saved as HTM files despite me specifying save as HTML, and would not work. But putting a link in to the Fumbbl hosted team sheet worked a treat - the client downloaded the roster and game started no probs (HTML pages).
Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this normal? I also wanted to highlight this so other people wouldn't go through the 'nothings f*cking working' crap I've been through in last 3 days !
ARGGGH! GNASH OF TEETH! RIP OF HAIR!

The .HTM files you're referring to are html files. Try changing the name to .html and it should work fine.
Also:
(from the README file, chapter 3. You did read it, didn't you? )
(5) I have not completely tested the reading of hand edited team
HTML files. The program will always read original team files
created by the Blood Bowl Team Editor by Mike Howard and the
exported HTML files from the Team Tracker XLS spreadsheet. The
program starts having trouble with certain kinds of edits.
An example of an unsupported edit is adding font tags around
individual entries in the roster table. |

I'll have a play about with the files. I appear to be having more success at playing games with HTML files now
And what do you mean? Of course I read everything you say. *cough* mumble* mutter*
