I guess the comment about keeping things constructive has gone unheard.....
Let's just get away from the admin bashing and back on topic for a minute. I think what most coaches who have posted here want can be summarised as an official ranked tournament with a TR cap.
- What RRR misses is the possibility to play with developed teams;
- What Smacks miss is that only people with a lot of time to play in the busy hours on the site have regular access to them;
- XFL are a category on their own being single race.
Clearly this could be solved by having Rumbles in different TR classes or making a whole new concept of a big KO tourney. Whether or not it's called a major seems like a very minor detail in the discussion. Angie's comments are clear enough, so let's drop that.
Now the question that remains is whether, provided enough volunteers are available to run this thing, the admins would be inclined to add anything like this to the calendar.
I'll be the first to volunteer to try and help things along.
Now STOP FLAMING and let's try to keep the discussion healthy |

I think there are some reasonable arguements for more variation in the Majors (see cloggy's post above once again).
The main one being that more people should be able to participate with actualy having a chance of winning, instead of the few coaches who go to the trouble to prepare a perfect team for a Major.
Another arguement is that there are way fewer capped tourneys in ranked, and that they lack status. You got the smacks vs 5 majors basicly. A lot of people don't care about smacks, and the smack format is not that accesible to all coaches. Again, capped weekly tourneys would allow more members of the community to enter with having a chance to win.
Of course this would represent some work for the admins, but I am sure a lot of people would be willing to help out if asked.
I think it's a pity that the idea just get shot off, instead of just have a nice and friendly discussion about it.
After all, the suggestions put forward are ment to improve the Majors to the benefit of the community. |

the community would help, theres no doubting that at all
we need one of those petition threads again! |
Or alternatively you could change the title of this one in order to make the title more applicable to the topic |

I like the old FC with all it's categories.
LLT, TS, TR, also only one is worth my attention.
I agree with you. The tournaments should be different from each others. But different cap is only a possibility, there is also:
- the best teams for each race,
- the team with best FF,
- a tournament with TR cap
- race are divided in 2 different groups (bright and dark)
- and one with the FC way of selecting (LLT and so on)
That's 5 tournament, the magic is each actual major can be modified with those ideas (and some already does). |

I just want a tournament in the same format as the BB in Nottingham...
Can be a special TR100 team you can enter, gain 1 skill a game, ressurection style, after the tournament ends, all teams are auto retired, or would I be better making a new thread about it? |

I think Majors are majors and shouldn have a TR cap. I want to specc the best and most famous teams there. Personally I think 5 Majors is too much. I would prefere 4 each of 3 Month like before and some weekly Minor Cups with the TR Caps of smack but starting like RRRs. My 5 Cent. |
