Not to rain on everyone's parade, but I think that this is a poorly run Tourney. You will have TR 350+ teams going against brand new, out of the box teams.
Sorry, but I won't be joining the tourney because of this.
And in a suprising amount of foresight I give you this: Congratulations Evolve to Anarchy for winning the Middle Mountain Tourney!

You have certainly got a point, but that doesn't mean that there won't be a fun game or two for people playing.
To cite a specific example, Evo and I are both bringing DEs from Nagarroth. Quil said that initial matches will be based upon locale, so we'll probably end up facing each other. What's the difference? He has over 250 TR on me.
So what chance do I have of winning? I could hope for all 9 nigglers to fall ill and a turn 1 Pitch Invasion to take out the rest, but I would rather lose than win that way. Having gone up against the Anarchists a couple of times before, though, I can say that I greatly enjoy playing him and don't mind too much (even though I am thinking of coming up with some story of how a small outpost of DEs came to exist in 'Fling Hollow...).
It's fine if you decide that unbalanced teams won't be fun for you. I actually feel bad for the aforementioned Evo. Where's the fun in running circles around rookie players? How much of a sense of accomplishment do you think he's going to get from making the playoffs?
Also, how can you resist the shiny metal prize? Did I mention shiny tangible prize...?
Don't mind my rant. I don't want to change anyone's mind, I just wanted to voice another perspective. |

I agree with the rating difference thing....maybe you should consider some kind of cap team ratingwise or something. I sure don't want to play a 400+ rated team........
But it's not my tournament si feel free to tell me to shut my mouth... |
