GW Firewyrm Description:
Firewyrms' huge bodies constantly ripple and shift with the power of change, their skin blistering into eyes and gaping maws which belch forth balls of fire.
So the traditional Wyrm (dragon) idea isn't really appropriate. I think saenri79's description, and HunterX's portrait are probably closer to the mark. |

This firewyrm is great. It looks like a grafic from the good old DOS-games. There is much work in it.
Crits/Feedback:
- the tentacles are placed like arms and legs over the body. Is this wanted or just happened? If this happened, can it be changed?
- the round maw and the stripes to form (very good) the round body creates in my first impression a picture of a worm. Not a wyrm, a worm. But that was exactly the form, that i tried to create in normal sized pictures and did not accomblish. I dont know how to avoid this effect.
- the coulor is static. It does not look like filled with the power of change. Perhaps it can be changed according to the playercard, when the tail and the lower part of the body stay as they are, but the upper part and the maw got more a look like burning flames (like a burning worm )
- the shadow is flat. Is that wanted or not worked out?
I really like those teeth and the effect, that the stripes create to give the firewyrm a round lookalike.
Good work so far. |

Thanks for the feedback
I've done a little extra work, I'll post that after commenting on the feedback!
- the tentacles are placed like arms and legs over the body. Is this wanted or just happened? If this happened, can it be changed?
This was kinda intentional, arms and legs to be flailing about... in some way I think it looks vaguely reminiscent of a helpless screaming baby which is how I kinda imagine the wyrm to be (barring the belching fireballs part!)
- the round maw and the stripes to form (very good) the round body creates in my first impression a picture of a worm. Not a wyrm, a worm. But that was exactly the form, that i tried to create in normal sized pictures and did not accomblish. I dont know how to avoid this effect.
I was going for a worm look something like a big fat oversized maggot
- the coulor is static. It does not look like filled with the power of change. Perhaps it can be changed according to the playercard, when the tail and the lower part of the body stay as they are, but the upper part and the maw got more a look like burning flames (like a burning worm )
See below!
- the shadow is flat. Is that wanted or not worked out?
That's what I wanted, just a base to work from.. I'll pad it out a bit before I'm done
Anyway!... the updated version. I added a mouth down below and some eyes and changed the colouring (In my mind the colour is a bit too chaotic but this is chaos after all... but is it worth balancing that with having it a bit more easy on your eyes?)
ta da!
Again, all comments and crits welcome
edit 1:
Here's the uncoloured version with extra mouth / eyes / etc.
edit 2:
Two more variations, bizarre-o coloured and flat coloured with blue'ish flames coming from its head

Any comments / feedback on this for the flamer? May do a bizarr-o colour version as per the above:
Styled more on the older GW flamers of tzeentch than the current and going from memory... by god its a dusty old memory too...
edit 1: added crazy kaleidoscope coloured version as per the above post... don't know what people will make of them...
edit 2: added an alternative variant, some colour changing on the arms but it's subtle and not too garish, i like it |

The FG icons are nice, good job. Now we just need some portraits and horror icons. |

nice work on the large pitch tzeentch icons saenri. Already using your squig herder ones and loving them.
For the firewyrm i'd pick the plain red one with blue flames and for the flamer the plain red version. I think they'd work perfectly well in blue for the other team too. |
