Thank you all for joining the Burlesque Beastman Brawl, and thanks to those of you who helped tweak the group / rules to make it funnier. You know who you are.
Please continue to add fluff / bios / images to your teams if you haven't already done so.
Ok the group stages are now open, you have a week to complete your first two games and good luck with them. Hopefully we all know the rules.
No stars, No rotters / Warriors and most important, NO taking skills more than once. Happy Mutating.....
Thanks, Bicarb.

Our first game went well, a 2-1 victory for the egyptian beasts vs McVily's animaniacs. Great play by them got them the lead but the casualties really started flowing for us by the 2nd half and we were able to score twice against a reduced side. Our beast managed to land a BH and 2 SIs... but no kill! No rotter this time!
Full Report
First skill: multiblock for the beast! |

Game 1 - Missouri Necromancers 0 - 1 Alabama Pig Lovers
The match ended up being a complete bloodbath with the Necromancers being on the bad side of a train wreck. With the Pig Lovers inflicting 2 rips, and a permanent, not to mention a pair of badly hurts, and a metric crapton of KOs, the pitch ended up being a nice deep shade of red at the end. Despite the onslaught of casualties, the Necromancers still put up a huge fight, preventing the Pig Lovers from scoring until the end of the second half.
Much kudos to Azure. Wish the game could have gone a little more middle of the road, as this match pretty much set up that douchebag lucker synn with an easy second round match.

My opponent final contacted me saying he could play, Unfortunately it was 2 am and I was well and truly AFK, arranging my first match is going to be a bit more difficult than I originally thought |

Wet Horny Animaniacs 2 - 3 Strange Geysers
WHA continued it's losing streak. In a match that was full of turnovers, They managed to lose in the ned. It start as usuall cas,KO, foul,KO,foul, foul,Ko,foul.
It was obvious Ref wasn't on pitch, and Geysers used their numeric advantage, lefting only 3 Animaniacs on pitch in the moment of scoring. Luckily, 2 got back, and that was all Animaniac needed to score. Twice. They even managed to put some SG players in the box. But Two other Ko-ed players refused to get back, and it was impossible to play 10 turns with only 5 players, and put proper defence. so in the end, geysers scored 2 Td's and left with points.
When asked after match is he satisfied with his team play after the match, coach McVily responded:
"No, we played like bunch of cartoon characters, that is unacceptable. I will personaly train one of our players to show some guts, and play more ruthlesly.
We simply need more blood in our game, opponents blood." |

I know what your go about. I'm a bit worried about my second game, as the guy I'm meant to play's opponents hasn't been online for 3 days so getting 2 games in could be a problem. Which has annoyed me a bit (not my opponents fault) as I had the weekend free hoping to play the game during that period.
But oh well |

Blitzing Blizzard Beastz<img src="http://www.fumbbl.com/teams/255925.jpg"> V <img src="http://www.fumbbl.com/teams/255951.jpg"> Wetcoast Detritus
The first game for the Blizzard Beasts was a very tense game, Wet coast kicked off with Blizzard receiving, The game looked like it could get quite ugly for the BBB with wet coast scoring two early KO's, but they managed to create TD chance late in the first half, unfortunately the Mino failed his wild test and was unable too blitz the B O N away from the ball, leaving the only chance down to a beastman who had two dodge through the B O N TZ to get to the ball then throw it down field to the waiting Receiver. Needless to say the Tentacles did theer job and he was firmly rooted to the spot.
First half score

The second half started a lot better for the BBB having the numbers advantage after the mino BH'd a beastman late in the first half, and with one beastman not returing form the KO box on either side it was 10 V 9. A deep kick and a turn over for WC D left BBB with a good chance as they quickly got two beastman around the back off the filed to hassle the ball carrier and his one guard while the rest off the team held up the remaining WC D Players on the LOS. The game came down to a tense last turn play, The ball was on the floor near the WC D TD Area surrounded by BBB players but was in a TZ of a WC D Beastman. The BBB Players surrounded this lone beastman and he was knocked down by a 3DB, all that was needed was for the remaining beastman in the area to pick up the ball and walk in a last turn TD, I had 1 RR left and boy was i glad I hadn't re rolled a double down roll earlier in the half cos i needed it, The RR was good and Hrarw 'Ice' Borg got the last turn TD.
Final score

The game was filled with turnovers, including both the big guys who seemed intent to try and fail every roll, Hrarw 'Ice' Borg also got the MVP for his game winning TD effort and has since been gifted with a nice set of CLAWs by Avalance, the chaos god off freezing and suffering. |

What I didn't realize when I joined up for this league is that a lot of you are in the UK or Europe..and I'm all the way over here on the west coast of Canada....a good 7-8 hours behind the rest of you. If I'd known that I likely wouldn't have signed up as the time difference is going to be a problem through the whole thing I'm sure. Thanks to Shades for staying up late and for a tense, tough-as-nails game. |
