The team:http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=675502
So, Ferax, #4, finally got to his 3rd skill after I went out of my way to score with him and he got lucky and bagged the MVP.
It was going to be Dodge, but he got another double and I am not sure if I should risk spurning Nuffle's gifts.
Dodge:
1. Protection and mobility
2. This team is obviously after a lot of Blodge
However, with MA8 and a bit of effort, perhaps his next skill isn't too far away.
Leader:
1. Cheap re-roll
However, he'll be a pretty big target and, to a degree, a weak link. I don't game to protect players much so he will get hit.
Mighty Blow:
1. Wow, cool! A Guard, Mighty Blow dark elf
2. This guy is doubles crazy, he'll surely get another for Piling On
However, my MB blitzer is already my prime hitter, and the witch elf is the back up.
Anything else? |

If you really want to use the double take stand firm.
It won't be that great until after he gets blodge though...
Otherwise Leap over dodge, and then take leap on your MB blitzer too. |

I meant to select Dodge but voted for MB by mistake
I think Dodge is the way to go with this fellow. I'd want to get him to blodge and Side step as quickly as possible. Dodge would also make him mobile right now. MB is a bit of a deviation and Guard and MB don't really stack up for elves. |

Agree with Ulla, he needs to be blodge, ss to annoy the most with his guard. |

Clearly Dodge. Leader would really be a waste (you would only save 20 tv and lose a skill-slot on your potentially best player. |

Yeah, 'fraid this doubles is wasted.
It could be a good idea to make early rolled doubles into mighty blow and late rolled doubles into guard. That way the chance of getting a pomb increase, while the chance of 'oh, guard + doubles: what a waste' decreases. If you take early mb, you'll still have time to take tackle (& jump up) afterwards, while if you roll doubles late, you'll probably have blodge sidestep already.
As for leader: it seems like a waste since you have a position with passing access (who get it cheaper and more easily) on your roster and this guy really needs more real skills before he's as good as he should get.
For instance, I did take leader on this guy, but only because
a) he already had all the skills I really wanted to give him (blodge sidestep guard)
b) the team has no passing access and dire need of rerolls |
