Young and old, it seems a large proportions of the community are mishandling bugs and crashed games. Here is the proper protocol (cucumber sandwiches are optional).
1. Determine what happened. Talk to your opponent and decide together what to do.
A. Is the bug game breaking?
Neither of you can do anything.
1 player has received a game winning advantage.
You can't come to an agreement on how to deal with the bug.
For several reasons, we prefer you try to get the game finished if possible.
2. If the bug wasn't game breaking, play the game out and then check the bug report section carefully http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=bugs .
A. Is your bug listed? If so add a note, the game replay and what turn the bug happened.
B. If it isn't listed add a report, doing the same as in A.
3. The bug was game breaking.
If you have IRC go to #fumbbladmin and state your problem. Wait for an answer, if you receive no answer within 3 or 4 minutes, leave the channel and fill in a support ticket.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=support
The information we need for the support ticket is:
Your team name, and the opponent you were playing. (we don't need URLs for this type of support ticket).
What would be handy:
Any relevant information. Did your opponent abuse the bug? The score and turn of the match. What the bug was.
Note, filling in a ticket, is not reporting a bug. The programmers do not have access to support tickets.
Next you need to check the bug section.
4. Check the bug report section carefully http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=bugs .
Is your bug listed?
A. If so add a note, the game replay (if the game was finished) and what turn the bug happened.
B. If it isn't listed add a report, doing the same as in A. |

You also need to separate between Fumbbl bugs (bugs concerning the site itself, bugs on web pages, gamefinder bugs, Black Box scheduler bugs etc.) and Fantasy Football Bugs (bugs concerning the client, things going wrong while playing a game). There are different categories for these in the Bug Reporting System.
There is also a sticky on How to report FFB Bugs.
Please follow the procedure! |

Kalimar doesn't handle the client anymore. I believe it is Christer. Kalimar, wasn't an admin exactly.......so for him to get bugs it had to be dealt with differently. So site, client, bed and black box bugs all get dealt with by the same person (I think). This means if you mis-label a bug.......it's probably not as big a deal as it was. |
