Rule question: does strong arm combine with dump off to allow dump offs to short pass range? Does the client handle this correctly if I make it part of a Dark Elf strategy? |

Quoted from CRP:
Quote: | Dump-Off (Passing)
This skill allows the player to make a Quick Pass when an opponent
declares that he will throw a block at him, allowing the player to get rid of
the ball before he is hit. (...)
Strong Arm (Strength)
The player may add 1 to the D6 when he passes to Short, Long or Long
Bomb range.

Does that sufficiently answer your question? |

Ah yes thanks. The rule definition has obviously been reworded in current LRB. |

Right... back in the days, Strong Arm changed the range (making a short pass a quick one etc.). That would be a lot of fun, especially with Dump-Off or TTM. As it is, Strong Arm is only useful for big guys who are very dedicated to the art of TTM and for a marauder built into a true thrower. And it's a poor man's accurate - but who would take passing skills without P access? |

No idea and too lazy to look it up. But you may be right... A shame how everyone is spamming Dump-Off these days. You ain't got no chance to reliably blitz the ball anymore. Totally overpowered! Ah, well... |

Well not that it matters, but I got curious. Quoted from LRB4:
Quote: | Strong Arm (Passing Trait)
Reduce the range by one band (but never lower than ‘Quick’) when the player passes the ball. For example, a long pass is treated as a Short pass, etc. Strong Arm does not allow Short range passes with Dump Off or Long passes in a Blizzard. |
They've got it covered. |

It used to increase the range for TTM though... |
