I used screenflow for the mac with no issue.
Some will let you capture a window or a limited section of your display (which will also limit the file size precompression) |

Great idea. I cannot stress enough how beneficial it would be for Fumbbl to have more videos in youtube. I mean, if some new player wants to play BB online he's probably going to type "blood bowl" in youtube to see how it looks like, and the lack of Fumbbl presence is appalling.
As it is now, there are only a handful of videos with only hundreds of views, as opposed to the hundred of thousands of views of some games played with Cyanide's client e.g. http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalHalibut/search?query=blood+bowl
This may make people think that Cyanide's is the superior version and that Fumbbl is a dying community, whereas it is in fact the opposite. |

Not dying but not so big either.
The majority of people is attracted by shiny 3d graphics. |

Come for the graphics, leave for the gameplay |

While I play Cyanide version, it feel likes I'm playing against computers. Watching videos on youtube about that version is pretty hard, especially when everything is red and shiny in some stadiums.
And here on Fumbbl everything is like big family |

When you spin 2min or 4min. I know they are real humans but its much warmer here on FUMBBL Its hard for me to explain because my english language is limited :/ |

I do find the chat more clunky on cyanide. But some people don't chat here either. Hmm. |

I've used FFSplit before - it allows both streaming to services like Twitch and also saving to local file. Free (no watermarks or other nonsense), very simple to use and very good quality in my experience.
As mentioned earlier you will need decent hard drive space if you want to save high quality raw files locally, but you can specify file formats and image quality if that's a problem.
I would probably expect to do some editing anyway, and you can certainly use something like MS Movie Maker, which is free and perfectly adequate for simple editing. |

Actually the replay feature on the site make the video useless i think. Most of what you need is on the replay. |

The replay function is really good here on fumbbl, but the comments Ehlers does in his vids are interesting to listening to while watching. |

Replays are good for video recording if you dont want all the clutter of people taking time to think their moves out. Of course recording live is good if you want to make notes of the comments people are making in the game.
I have used Fraps to record some video from fumbbl games, but havent edited them together or uploaded them to youtube yet. who knows if i will. |
