For any long-standing fling coaches out there, do you bother hiring the star tree for your first game, as the help-section suggests? I tried that my first ever time with flings, and still ended up losing my arse badly. Next game, both trees missed first half, and when they finally arrived they didn't have a team around them! Not sure how much better the new on-pitch take-root rules are... |

Must've been a long time ago since you last played flings then. Trees always show up, which can help on the LOS. They have a fair chance of being immobilized now. I'm guessing Deeproot is a valid star player more so because he can't take root. Is he worth the cash? I've no idea. |

If you want to win the monthly Championship, Halflings are the way to go. I tried it once, it was so easy it was silly.

You can't.
However...
What you do is save some money when you create the team, submit it, and then purchase the extra ingredients once it's accepted.
